—His POV
I was sitting at the corner of the room — the cold wall touching my back. I was pretty much zoned out next to a teammate, who randomly nudged me on the arm all of a sudden.
"Hey, don't you know the choreography to YOU&ME?" He spoke. My brows knotted, eyes drifting everywhere in the room as the reality hit hard. Half of the class was standing upright.
"You and me? What are you talking about?" I questioned, turning to him.
"the song dumbass, you had practiced it with mina last week, remember in studio 4?" He gave me an answer, which took me a second to process.
"Ahh, yeah I suppose, I haven't really practiced it ever since."
"Then stand up dude the teacher is literally asking if anyone knows the choreo and she looks like she's having a hard time trying to find a familiar face." He said, suddenly pushing me to stand up.
"She?"
I looked ahead, past the countless faces I've seen every other day, and stopped right on the person next to the teacher.
Oh. It's her again.
"Why'd you make me stand up?" I whispered back at the teammate sitting behind me, as I prepared myself to sit back down, when suddenly the teacher spoke, "It's taking a bit too long, Let's just take our best dancer—Nishimura Ni-ki!"
The moment my name rolled down the teacher's tongue, I let a groan out.
It's not like I didn't like the teacher. I just wasn't interested in doing a duo again, not after the one with Mina, not so soon and absolutely not with a newbie like her.
What surprised me though is the fact that I wasn't the only who let out a frustrated sigh.
Do they really wanna be her partner? Seriously.
I rolled my eyes and stepped forward.
The instant I stood at my mark, on the side, the music dropped. She made the first move — quickly making her way to the middle and smoothly beginning with the choreography.
I observed from afar, listening to the beats till it was finally my turn to step beside her and do my part— the exact same one I did with Mina last week.
The other guys seemed to really have let out a disappointed expression.
But honestly though? If I were them, I'd probably be happier that I wouldn't have to dance with the newbie.
—End of his pov
—2nd pov.
The moment he acted his part—lifting you up, everyone in the room started cheering and shouting some random made up nicknames and compliments.
The sudden quiet and chill room had erupted into loud cheers.
"THEY ARE DANCING IN SYNCHRONICITY, WOAH."
"Literally. The. Perfect. Match." One even said.
"YN'S DANCE SKILLS ARE SO GOOD OMFG!!"
"THEY ARE SO GONNA BE THE MOST ANTICIPATED DUO IN SCHOOL...DAMM" Somebody at the back said out loud.
"Or maybe the most popular couple."
But little did anybody notice, you had almost stepped on his foot as he lowered you back on the floor, earning yourself a glare from him—a glance that could be mistaken for stage expression.
The song came to an end pretty quickly, saving you from the loads of compliments and praises—which you weren't quite used to—not yet.
Your dance teacher looked at you two up and down, lowering his glasses in an expression that almost looked like half shock and half proud.
"To be honest...this has to be the best duo dance I've ever seen" The teacher said clapping his hands with amusement, followed by the students.
"Thank you!" you thanked, getting excited after hearing what your teacher had to say.
"You two make a really good pair. I am looking forward to more performances from you two" he added, his words reaching your ears like a surprise.
You politely bowed down to the teacher and left the dance studio the moment the bell rang.
Dance class was luckily your last lesson of the day so you got changed into a new pair of clothes and walked out of the changing rooms, heading directly to the underground parking lot of the school.
You unlocked your car with a press of a button, pulling the trunk open and sliding your backpack inside before walking around to the driver's side.
You pulled the car door open and were about to sit inside when you suddenly saw someone running towards you from the corner of your eye.
Someone unexpected.
