Minutes flew by with you just throwing the rocks around the place.
"Could she have gone to buy some grocery?" another thought came to your mind, as you threw another stone as far as you could in the garden.
"But she is not the type to go outside at noon..." you whispered to you and yourself only.

Awhile later, you decided to stand up and knock on the door once more, just in case your grandmother was actually inside, sleeping.
You walked up to the door and knocked on it three times before waiting for a few seconds but there was still no reply coming from the inside.

Sighing once again, you turned towards your luggage, gripping on the handle turning to leave.
However, just as you were about to walk away, you noticed a key left under the big flower vase, next to the stairs.

You picked the key up and took a look at it.
The key was slightly dirty as if it hadn't been used in awhile.

"Maybe she went to her Bestfriend's house~" you mumbled before unlocking the door to the house with the key you found.

The moment the doors to the house flung open, you started to cough uncontrollably.
Everything inside the house was covered in dust, which looked like as if it hadn't been touched in months or even years.

"What the..." you mumbled, still coughing as you looked around at how dusty the house had become.
"Why is it so dusty..." you wandered around the house, with slow and small steps, curiosity creeping over you.
You hadn't visited your grandma in years, not even when you last came to Yokohama.
And you hadn't been able to talk to her in all that time either.

"Where could she have gone to..." you murmured while glancing at the dust covered photo frames hung up against the walls as you slowly went up the stairs.
With each step you took up the stairs, you passed by an old photo frame along the wall.
But as you reached the final step and your eyes landed on the next photo, your heartbeat dropped.

You held a hand before your chest, trying to prevent yourself from panicking.
The frame infront of you contained a photo of you blowing out the candles on your 6th birthday and your parents standing beside you with a smile planted on both of their faces.
The photo was taken on the same day where your parents got divorced.

No matter with how much dust the frame was covered in, you still recognised it very well.
"It's okay Y-Yn—it's o-okay" you tried to calm your racing heart with your own words but your voice just cracked.

You became weaker by the second and as your body balance became too heavy to hold, you leaned against the railing of the stairs for support, the memories of that night coming back to you with a flash.
The memories which you thought you had long ago forgot about, were still hidden somewhere in a small corner of your heart.

Those memories took over your whole mind, making you unable to think of anything else but that day.
While the memories of that day kept coming back to your mind, your head started to hurt crazily.
It felt like somebody was hitting you on the head over and over again with an hammer.

Your hands gripped the edge of the staircase tightly as the dizziness and headache soon started taking over you.
The more time passed by, the more unstable your breathing was getting.
Your vision also started became a blur.
And before you knew it, you fell unconscious right on the spot, your body slipping down the stairs.

As your unconscious body tumbled down the stairs, your head hit the hard steps, leaving a few small bruises.

Later, you were just laying there on the cold and dusty ground, helpless and unconscious.
Nobody knew you were here, nobody knew you were lying on the floor unconscious with minor bruises on your body.
You were all alone, all by yourself.

Then, seconds turned into minutes, minutes turned into several hours.
Yet even after many hours passing by, you remained still, your figure unmoving.
The air was heavy with silence.
The dust flying in air, settled down on your skin, the dim light shifting as the day slowly faded into evening.

No one came in search for you, despite knowing that you had arrived back in your hometown.

Your fingers twitched ever so slightly, but your body remained unresponsive.

Later, the night crept in with the temperature drastically dropping.
The coldness seeping out from the wooden floor beneath you, left goosebumps on your skin.
The once distant hum of the outside world grew fainter, swallowed by the stillness of the empty space around you.

How much longer would you remain like this?
