Minutes, then hours, blurred together without your notice of it passing by.
Even as you deplaned, stepping onto your home country soil, your thoughts refused to leave him behind.
You couldn't stop thinking about Ni-ki and how much you might be hurting him right now.
The future waiting for you ahead without him felt empty, he was someone you couldn't live without.
But now? You were very far away from him.
"Will i ever get to see him once again? for one last time?" You spoke to yourself, truly feeling hurt.
You made your way out the airport to the lobby.
And as expected, there were already many paparazzi's and fans gathered just to see you.
Your fans from Japan had always been respectful to you and your personal space but this time, you weren't sure if it would be the same because you had been kicked out from your idol life.
You took a deep breath and made your way forward to the exit of the airport, thinking that you would be harassed once again.
But to your surprise, everyone was just filming and welcoming you back.
"WELCOME BACK YN-SAN!!" Somebody, a bit far away in the crowd screamed.
"Why are they happy to see me? Did they not see the news...?" the thoughts clouded your mind.
You had expected something worse due to what you've seen and experienced back in Seoul.
"I guess they just love me for who I am, even after when I'm no longer an Idol" you thought, the thought alone making you smile warmly to the crowd.
There were also a few bodyguards walking beside you, a badge from your parent's company visible on their outfit.
And you knew very well, that they were sent by your parents to pick you up.
You waved to the crowd happily as if you weren't sad just awhile ago, but no one needed to know that now, did they?
"Yn, we love your voice and Dance, please don't stop singing!!" a fangirl of yours, who was very close to you from the crowd spoke.
Then, just as you were about to reply to the fan, somebody gently pushed a small canvas in your hands, taking you by surprise since you weren't expecting any gifts from the fans.
Your gaze followed to where the person was standing, then back to the art painted on the small canvas in your hands.
It was a painting of you and Ni-ki holding hands from just a few days ago.
You were surprised to receive such a beautiful gift, even after all the hate you had received for being together with Ni-ki awhile ago.
The guards escorted you out the airport, to the SUV, while you were still too busy admiring the gift, it was the best gift that you had ever received so far.
Especially because you were thinking about Ni-ki at the moment.
As one of the bodyguards loaded your luggage into the trunk, you stepped into the backseats of the SUV, still holding the canvas in your hands.
"Please drive me to my grandma's place" you demanded, not wanting to face your parents at all.
"But miss, your parents will fire me if I don't bring you to the company as demanded!" the driver said, while you fastened your seatbelt on.
"I'll fire you instead if you don't do as I say right now!" you threatened him with the rights that you had as the heir of the company to fire him.
"Got it!" He nodded and started driving on the route towards your grandma's house.
You took your phone out and opened Instagram to pass the time.
The first thing on your Fyp was yet another photo of you taken by the paparazzis just minutes ago where you had accepted the painting from a fan.
You scrolled down the picture finding nothing interesting but the more you scrolled, the more photos you found of yourself from the airport in Yokohama.
You sighed and stared out the tinted windows of the car, admiring the beauty of your home country.
Soon the car came to a stop infront of your grandma's house.
As you took a glance at the house, you felt weird, every single light in the house had been turned off.
Usually, your grandma would be baking cookies in the afternoons since she lived alone but this time the lights weren't even on, which felt odd to you.
"Thank you for driving me here, you can leave now" you said to the driver that had driven you all the way to your destination.
Then, the driver gave you a small nod before driving away.
As the car drove off, you turned around, facing the small and cozy building with your luggage.
You walked forward to the house and knocked on the door.
But there was no reply in return.
So you decided to call your grandma by shouting her name, but also that didn't work.
There was no response coming from the inside.
Your heart started to race after not receiving a single response from the inside, even after everything you did to call your grandma out.
"Is she sleeping?" You questioned yourself as you sat on the stairs ahead of the doorstep.
"But she would still be awake at this hour... it's only 7pm" You whispered to yourself, taking your phone out once again to check the time.
You looked up at the sky, not knowing what else to do.
Soon, out of boredom, you started to play with the small stones around the path leading to the doorstep of the house.
Nobody was gonna open the door for you nor did you wanna go to your parent's place.
