Later, the bell rang once more—indicating the beginning of the upcoming lesson—Dance.

"Talk to you later" Lia, who was walking around the school hallways with you said—bidding her goodbye as she headed to her classroom.

Sighing, you made your way down to the ground floor, where the dance class found itself.
Sure, you were quite excited for the dance lesson as it was one of your favourite things to do, but you were utterly fatigued.

You pushed the door to the changing rooms open, grabbing the attention of those inside.
"Gosh, you walk in here like you own the whole place" a short haired girl scoffed, slipping her T-shirt on.
"Who said I didn't?" you mumbled back, walking over to the edge of the long bench, throwing your bag on top.
"Tsk, what is it?" the girl scoffed again, while the others stayed silent, observing as the situation quickly started to escalate.
You rolled your eyes.
"Nothing. I'd suggest you check the full name of your school owner, before you go around trying to take me down" you spoke, your voice full of sarcasm.
You were not gonna let a stupid classmate of yours speak so low of you.

The girl narrowed her eyes, clearly not expecting you to clap back so easily.
"And what makes you think I would care about that?" she huffed, taking a sip out of her water bottle.
You smiled faintly, almost pitying her.
"Just thought you should know — trying to humiliate the school owner's daughter is a pretty quick way to get yourself expelled" you said, smiling at her with your eyes— a smile edged with warning.

Well, indeed, you could go and rant about the girl's behaviour to your step-father, which could easily get her expelled—or so you think.

"Anyway, for your information, I'm not here because I chose this place. So, deal with it" you added, not even looking at her anymore.

You bent down, casually unzipping your bag, taking a pair of black clothes out while the air in the room froze.
You quickly got changed, wearing the new pair of clothes— comfortable enough for dancing.
Then you tied your hair high in a ponytail, before heading out the door to the dance studio.

"ATTENTION!" the dance teacher shouted, grabbing every student's attention.
"We have a new dance club member—please welcome KIM YN!" he announced, as most of the students in the room cheered for you, making you feel a little more welcomed, unlike earlier with the other girl.

"So Yn, it would be nice if we could see some of your skills, would you mind?" the teacher spoke, turning his gaze towards you.
You shook your head.
"Sure"

"Show us what you got!" the teacher exclaimed.
"YEAHHH!!" the class cheered, trying to hype you up—which felt a bit awkward.

You sighed—mentally preparing yourself.
"Please play the song—Paradox invasion" you said to the teacher, your voice barely above a whisper.
He nodded, walking away to hit the play button on the chosen song.

— Ni-ki's pov
As the teacher asked the newbie to show some of her dance skills, I felt a sense of thrill run down my body...
Why was I so excited to see her skills in dancing?
Odd...right?
I had just met her a few hours ago.

As soon as the newbie stood in middle of the room—ready to start with the choreography, the chosen song started playing.

Wait...What the hell?

Why does the beat sound so familiar...?

Oh wait.

That's...OUR SONG—Paradox invasion.

Why the hell would she choose such song...wouldn't the choreography be a bit too hard for a newbie like her?

12 seconds into the performance, she was already showing some skills until 3 girls and 3 boys from my group joined her, me being the only one left behind.
I couldn't join the dance because the new girl was literally doing my part.
Ughhh
Kinda annoying, don't you think?
But to be honest, she's not that bad....SHE'S KILLIN IT

—Yn's pov

I decided to dance to paradox invasion as I had recently taught myself the choreography.
It was a new release from one of my sister's friends.

You might be wondering how am I even related to Jennie, when I am not even a Korean myself, right?
Well, she's actually not my sister, but rather my step sister.
Yet, we are quite close...or were close.

I haven't met her in months due to the busy schedule of her career, nor have I ever received a call from her in the last 2 weeks now.

But, how busy even is she these last days? She would've texted me a few words once in a while—which she hasn't done either—not yet.
Could i have done something wrong in our last talk? Something that I might not have a single clue of?

—End of her pov

You were so lost in your own thoughts, until they were interrupted by the voice of the teacher speaking.
"Well Yn! That was Excellent!! However, I was curious to know if you've ever done a duo dance before by chance ?" he asked.

"Yes I have sir," You replied, speaking with formality, the emotions barely expressed in your words
"Hmm, did you choreograph it?" he questioned, seeming interested.
"No sir, my sister did it" you replied honestly.

"Oh you have a sister?" he posed a question after question.
You nodded.
"Is she in this school aswell?"
"No, I don't think she ever went to this highschool...her name is Jennie Kim." you mumbled, not thinking much of how your school reputation would soon be rising because of this revelation.
"Oh?" the teacher reacted, seeming as if the response had piqued his interest.
"You mean the Jennie Kim from the popular band?' the teacher dragged each word out as if confirming it for himself.
"Yep" you casually responded, your hands clasped together.

There was a momentum of silence before it was replaced with the whispers and the gasps of the students in disbelief.

"Uhh the BLACKPINK?" the teacher guessed.
You nodded your head in agreement while your eyes wandered anywhere but the people in the room.

"Alright then, that's surprising. Please hit us with the dance!" he declared, walking away to change the song once again as if he already knew what the title of the song was.

"Uh..I would need a male to accompany me with the dance.." you mumbled, your voice barely audible—yet loud enough to echo through the room—that now stood still.

"Has anyone learned the You&Me choreo yet?" he posed a simple question toward the class, his voice low and calm—not needing to be raised, since the room had fallen quiet.

Most of the boys that were once seated on the floor, stood up—making themselves one of those who knew the full choreo.
However, you only needed one person.

"Oh that's a lot of contestants hmm." the teacher mumbled while his eyes roamed through the room.
"Guess you have to choose one yourself Yn-ssi" he added.

Nodding once again, you scanned the numerous boys standing across the room—searching for at least one familiar face—someone you could get along with easily.

You sighed, the frustration creeping over you the moment you realised Ni-ki was the only face you knew.
"Uhm.." you muttered, torn between choosing Ni-ki or a random boy you'd never even spoken to.

"It's taking a bit too long, Let's just take our best dancer—Nishimura Ni-ki!" a groan escaped the boy's mouth as the teacher called his name out—choosing him as the partner for your duo dance.
