Chapter 14

The car skids before coming to a halt in front of the house. Jake steps out of the car and he starts running towards the house. Before he gets within 20 feet of the house, it explodes. He flies back at least 30 feet before rising to his feet again. He drops to his knees and Mrs. Stanley quickly pulls him into the car. The car drives off, heading past the house. 4 cars pull up to the house and Mister steps out, "We killed the girl. Luckily, we finally got rid of her. Now she won't know that her parents are innocent. That her parents were killed, weeks ago. She can finally see them, in hell. Now all we have to do is kill Stanley, Jake, and Oakland," says Mister. They fade out and I see Mrs. Stanley again. The 3 of them are at some gas station. She goes to the bathroom and types in a code, 30pq24, and a door opens. She descends down the steps and begins sobbing. "The girls were supposed to live," she says sadly.

"Wake up," Aly yells in my ear. I jerk awake and look at them. "How long have I been asleep," I ask. Ravenna replies, "We've both been sleeping for 4 days. You knocked me out for a long time." I chuckle at that and then I instantly stop. "What's wrong," they all seem to ask at the same time. I tell them my dream and Aly says, "It's okay. It was just a nightmare." I shake my head no and explain that this has happened before. "We need to leave right now, I'm telling you that this place will blow up." Surprisingly Ravenna is the one who agrees, "Guys. We need to go, now," she commands. We all get in a car and we pull out of the driveway, heading in the direction that Mrs. Stanley went in my dream. Before we get extremely far, the house blows up. I instantly think to myself, crap, that means that Jake and Mrs. Stanley are there. I tell the girls we need to hurry up. We speed to the gas station and I type in the code from my dream. The same door appears and we descend down the steps. We all sort of sit in the corner and relax for a bit. I hear footsteps, "They should have made it," I hear Mrs. Stanley say. I turn the light on and she screams while pointing a gun at me. I smile and she runs over to us, squeezing us half to death. "Mom! Dad," I hear Alyssa yell. "Mom," I question. Mrs. Stanley laughs, "She is our daughter. We adopted her when she was born," Mr. Oakland says. I smile, they start talking with the girls and I walk over to Jake. "I thought-" he cuts me off, "I didn't. He saved me, that threat you made scared him." I chuckle nervously and he just pulls me into a kiss. I hear the girls in the background making hooting noises. I chuckle in the kiss and so does Jake. We pull apart and then Mrs. Stanley ask me, "How did you know?" She has the gun pointed at me and so does Mr. Oakland. The girls look at me and they start piecing together stuff. I sigh, "I had a dream about it. It started when I was five..." I take a breath and tell them to sit. This is going to be one heck of a story.
