Chapter 19

I can hear voices talking, but I can't open my eyes or move any part of my body. "What the hell is wrong with you Mister. You could have killed my sister," some girl says. Sister! When did I get a sister. "She's fine I didn't kill her," Mister says calmly. I keep trying to move, but I can't. The girl talks again, "I'll kill her dad. She isn't as good as you think. I can take her on. She would care that I'm here sister, she's soft." I scoff in my head and roll my eyes before hearing Mister say, "Fine. Give her the adrenaline and let's go." I feel a needle in my arm and then my eyes shoot open. She smiles at me and helps me up, "Hi, my name is Santana." I smile, "After your father's name I see. I'm Charlie. Nice to meet you," I say back innocently. They both have a look of shock on their faces, "How do you know my father," she asks slowly. I smile up at her, "I don't know who your father is. I just assumed that. It sounds like it, sorry to make assumptions," I say. They both visibly relax and I internally smile at their ignorance. "You're going to be fighting Santana, Charlie," Mister says to me. I nod my head, and she says, "You can always forfeit if you're afraid of losing to an experienced person like myself." I nod and ask back sweetly, "Now why would I go and do something that stupid?" She gasps, looks at Mister, and then

walks out of the room. Mister says, "You should never underestimate your opponent." I nod, "And you should also never underestimate your colleagues," I respond. He just looks at me and I walk out of the room. I'm instantly slammed into the wall by Santana. I decide to submit at the moment, "I knew you were weak. I'm going to kill you out there," she says to me. I look down and she scoffs before walking away from me. I walk into what looks like a weapon room and I find her already looking through the weapons. She looks up at me, "You get two weapons, pick wisely," she says to me. I see her pick up a knife and nunchucks. She eyes the gun quickly before walking away. I walk up to the gun and unload it before grabbing a dagger and a chain. She walks back over and says, "I'm trading out my knife for a gun, wait no." She makes it sound like she wanted to switch, but then she didn't. She thinks I'm extremely stupid and it's a little updating. People start to file into the "arena" and I see Jake, Stacy, Mr. Oakland, Mrs. Stanley, Alyssa, Harmonique, Ravenna, and Janique in the front. They looked at me with apologetic faces and I just ignored them. I can't believe any of them, too bad they don't know that I know that they betrayed me. She pulls out the nunchucks and I pull the chains from my neck and get into my fighting stance. She just stands up straight, probably expecting me to attack first. She is sadly mistaking, I prefer my opponent to attack. We will be here all day if she is waiting because I'm too stubborn to give in. She moves her right leg first, therefore she is also right dominant. I will have to avoid right punches and kicks, and take the left punches and kicks. She moves her left leg afterwards meaning she is preparing for a kick. She fakes a punch which I dodge, I anticipate a right kick and she delivers. I take the blow, but it only clips me. I over exaggerate the pain and roll around. I swing my foot and her back slams into the floor. She groans and quickly rolls over and I do the same thing. We spring back up at the same time and she swings the nunchucks for my face. I dodge it and go to swing the chain, but she kicks my wrist. Shattering something because the pain is unbearable. She takes this time to swing the nunchucks at my face again, I didn't move as quickly so I felt the breeze and it almost clipped my nose. I kick out again and as she falls I swing the chain into her face. I hear the crunch of her nose, and her lip splits open. She shouts out in pain and she rolls over, about 6 feet away from me. We both stand and take a breather. I look down and my wrist is blue from all the blood that burt and her face is dripping blood because of what I did. She throws the knife at my left leg and I take it. I pull it out and throw it back into her right leg. I falter a little because that hurt more than it used to. She laughs and then pulls out the gun. Everyone sort of gasps and says ooh, "I would never take a chance. I admit you were better than I thought you would be, but you're also stupid," she says. I nod my head and wait for her to pull the trigger.
