Working for Mister Styles for the past three years had been a delight. For the most part.

At times, he can be a bit mean, but that's only when he's really in business mode and things aren't going his way. Which rarely happens. He always gets his way. But there are occasions when his way is challenged and he hates to be challenged. So, (Y/N) does her best to be his right hand with no complaints.

He's very charming with her. She, outside of his family and close friends, probably knows everything about him. His likes, dislikes, his favorite color, favorite food, everything. She is the one he calls when he needs anything. And sometimes their relationship bleeds into things not exactly work-related, but he's very professional anyway, so it still feels like part of the job.

But (Y/N) likes working for him and he sure likes giving her an annual raise. She can't complain about that part either.

Harry is a step under his father who is the CEO of the company. He's a very nice man who (Y/N) has had the pleasure of having many dinners with. He's all business, just like Mister Styles, but much more playful sometimes.

(Y/N) knows he's set to be retiring soon, but she's not quite sure when. All she knows is that he could have retired ten years ago and been just fine with the way his company is running. Her boss, Harry, is currently the COO, or the chief operating officer. He's pretty much there to make sure everything in his father's company runs smoothly while also being responsible for what direction the company goes in as far as goals and growth. He's a very important piece of the puzzle.

Right now, she's sitting next to him in a meeting and she can tell he's not paying attention. Something is on his mind, or troubling him. She tries not to pry into his personal life too much, even though she pretty much knows what he's doing all hours of the day anyway. She manages his schedule. So, she knows for sure he goes on plenty of dates and has plenty of one night stands. Or she assumes he does. With the way random girls are leaving messages from him on the office phone, she just knows that he entertains a lot. But she minds her business as much as she can.

She's been taking notes for the past hour and trying to make them extra detailed for Mister Styles because he is not hearing a word of what's going on. She's trying not to glance at him and draw attention to his distracted state, so she just keeps her eyes to the pad of paper in front of her.

It was a boring meeting anyway. She can't wait for it to be over because then, it's lunchtime. And while she does have to run out and get her boss' lunch, he is booked for another meeting during her lunchtime, so as long as she has his food on his desk by the time he arrives back from that meeting, she can go out for lunch. Her friend Riley is the ground floor receptionist and they often have lunch together, whether it's out at some cafe or in the breakroom.

Suddenly, she felt him staring at her. His gaze is always so heated, always seemingly accusatory, even though she's done nothing wrong at all. She just can't help feeling like she did something he didn't like when he looks at her like that. But she knows that that's just how he is. He's kind of intimidating, but once you work for him for three years, you start to understand how and why he operates the way he does. But she didn't look back. She wanted to act like she didn't notice because she was so concerned with doing her job.

He leaned towards her, his mouth just inches from her ear.

"I need to talk to you."

It didn't sound like a good I need to talk to you. It sounded like somehow she got herself into some shit with her boss who has been nothing but amazing towards her. So, she's kind of panicking but trying not to show it.
