Ladies and gentlemen, another long awaited oneshot. If you're an avid read of this book, make sure to look at the end of this oneshot. :)

(This is pretty unedited, just to say)

Hogwarts Year: Five

"Secret Santa," Harry read aloud, looking at the paper advertising it around Hogwarts. "One big secret santa?" He looked at Ron and Hermione, who shrugged.

"Might as well sign up," Ron said, grabbing a quill out of his bag and scribbling his name on the paper. Reluctantly, Hermione sighed and followed his actions, then looked at Harry.

"You should do it," Hermione said. Harry shrugged and used Hermione's quill to sloppily write his name on the sheet.

"Now we wait," Ron declared, slipping his hands in his pockets and heading toward the common room, to most likely nap.

On the 20th of December, a meeting was called for those who signed up for the activity. A large golden bowl was placed in the center of the great hall, with slips of paper, each with a different student's name on it. After a brief clearing up of what to do from Professor McGonagall, the students each took their turns going to the bowl and pulling a name. A spell had been placed on the bowl so if the student picked a piece of paper with their own name on it, it'd shock them lightly as a sign to pick a different one.

Ron, Hermione and Harry each took their slips of paper and exited the Great Hall. Ron was so excited to open his that he ripped it slightly, but by tilting it a bit, he managed to make out the name "Lavender Brown." He let out a groan, this girl had been obsessed with him for ages. After they tried to date she obviously retreated but came back to her own ways eventually.

Hermione opened her piece of paper carefully and frowned. "'Luna Lovegood.'" She put her paper in her pocket with a sighed, then muttered, "Lovely."

Lastly, Harry opened his, ignoring the sighs of Ron and Hermione who were unhappy about their chosen people. But his eyes widened when he saw his.

     You guessed it.

"Malfoy?" Harry said, widening his eyes slightly. Hermione and Ron's heads snapped toward Harry quickly.
"You got him?" Ron asked, surprised, but a small smirk creeping at the corner of his mouth. Harry nodded, a long sigh escaping him.

"This ought to be a disaster," Harry muttered, a small blush creeping up his face.

"On the bright side Harry, at least you don't hate him," Hermione inquired, with a smile.

"I do hate him. I just also love him. You know that."

"It's obvious," Ron replied. Harry scoffed and playfully shoved him, emitting a chuckle from Ron.

At least Harry knew exactly what to get Draco.

(POV SWITCH)

On the 25th of December, at the feast, another table had appeared in the great hall. This table had slips of names on them with a box above each name. This is where the gifts would go.

Draco himself had Blaise. Though that was good enough, he did wish he would've gotten "Stupid Pottah." As he put his gift for Blaise in the box, he decided to go check up on his own.

To his surprise, he saw a small gift wrapped in red and gold wrapping. With a raise of his eyebrows, he took in the colors—so a Gryffindor had gotten him. Surely it was nothing he'd like, correct?

Curiously, he reached into the box and grabbed the gift. It was square shaped, like a container. He undid the golden bow on top and ripped away the wrapping paper, and his jaw went slack at the gift.

Not only was it in a beautiful glass container with a green snake painted on it, green apple slices drizzled with chocolate sat inside it. He opened the container and grabbed one, biting one, just to test if they were real or if this was some kind of sick prank.

     They were indeed real.

Draco racked his memories to any Gryffindor who knew about his love of green apples. Finally, one name popped into his mind, but surely it wasn't true.

No way Harry Potter, the love of his life, had gotten him!

He checked the glass for any trace of a name tag, but there was one. He had to be sure he was right. But after a moment, he noticed the small writing on top, in a black pen:

♡,

Pottah

A blush crept onto Draco's face. Right. He'd been right. He looked around the Great Hall for the jet black haired boy, and saw him at last. As a matter of fact, the boy was looking right at him. Before he could look away, however, Draco did something he rarely did toward anyone who wasn't his friends—he smiled at Harry. He saw the blush on the boy's face as he shyly smiled back and looked away, which made a light laugh escape him for the adorableness of it.

Such a memory was never let down. Not in a year, not in two, not in three, and not when Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter became Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter-Malfoy. As the two sat on their couch together in a home a decade later, the two couldn't help but smile at it.

Mr. Potter-Malfoy said, "That's how you knew it liked you?"

Mr. Malfoy inquired with a laugh, "The blush on your face was evident, Malfoy."

At that single sentence, Harry blushed and buried his face in the crook of Draco's neck, which just made the older man laugh. Draco kissed his husband on the forehead, as they sat like that on that lovely winter evening, rethinking memories from their time at Hogwarts.

"You're an idiot, Malfoy," Harry murmured, though he clearly was smiling.

Draco chuckled and hugged his husband tighter. "But I'm your idiot."
