"Isaiah, stop singing." Nevaeh groans. "SZA's on. I have no choice but to sing." Isaiah shrugs his shoulders. Nevaeh sighs and lays her head on my shoulder. "This is what I deal with every single time I'm in the car with him." She whispers.

We just went out to get food and now we're on the way back to their apartment. I'm here for a few extra days, so Nevaeh and I have more time to spend together.

Honestly, I just couldn't leave her yet.

"I literally do the same thing when I FaceTime you in the car." I laugh. "Yeah, but you're literally a singer." Nevaeh rolls her eyes playfully. "Touché." I chuckle.

We pull up to the apartment building and head inside. Sunny comes running over and Vae and I pet her. "Hi, baby." I coo at her. "Guys, I'm gonna go shower and then I'm going over to Dev's house." Isaiah tells us. "Oh, tell him I say hi." Nevaeh says. "I will." He nods and walks into his room.

Nevaeh and I go to her room and we lay down on her bed. She lays her head on my chest and I run my fingers through her hair. "How are you doing, baby?" I ask her. "I'm okay. How are you?" She asks. "I'm good." I smile.

She yawns and closes her eyes. "You tired?" I ask and she gives me a lazy nod. "Go to sleep. I'll be right here when you wake up." I tell her. "Okay, I love you." Vae smiles. "I love you, Vaeh."

Nevaeh quickly falls asleep on me and I scroll on my phone while she sleeps. Isaiah comes into the room about 20 minutes later and I put my finger up to my mouth, signaling him to be quiet.

"I'm heading out. I'll be back later." He whispers. "Alright, have fun, but not too much fun." I smirk. "Okay, Mom." He rolls his eyes and walks out.

I'm happy Isaiah found someone new that cares about him a lot. Nevaeh told me about the guy he was seeing that ghosted him, so it's nice to see him happy with someone new.

"B?"

I look down and see Nevaeh's awake. "Hey, mama. How'd you sleep?" I ask. "Good." She mumbles, rubbing her eyes. "Did Zay leave yet?"

"Yeah, he left, like, 2 hours ago, baby." I chuckle. "Shit, I slept that long?" Her eyes widen. "I'm sorry."

"Don't be sorry." I shake my head. "I just wanted you to sleep, you had a long day yesterday. I'm so proud of you, by the way. You did amazing." I tell her, referring to yesterday at her dance recital.

"Thank you, sweetheart." She smiles. "You're a big softie, you know that?" Nevaeh laughs. "I'm not." I roll my eyes. "You are. When we first met, on the phone, of course, you acted all tough, but you're a big baby in person." She says.

"Vae!"

"You're adorable." She chuckles. "Yeah, whatever." I laugh. "I love you a lot, Bil."

"I love you a lot too, Vaeh." I smile and kiss her head.

I've never fallen in love this fast before, but something about Nevaeh was different. She makes me so happy.
