"Baby, come on!"

"Chill! Isaiah keeps texting me, complaining that his back hurts and he won't shut up." Nevaeh rolls her eyes. "What did he do to it?" I ask.

"I'd prefer not to say." She grimaces.

"Oh.." I widen my eyes, realizing what she means. "Yeah, that." She sighs. "Uh, let's go..." I say, switching the topic.

We're going to Finneas and Claudia's house today to hang out with them for a little while. Vae has the day off, thank god, and hopefully she'll have more time off since she got two new employees. So now, she has 5 teachers, including Isaiah.

She probably needs more, but the studio isn't at full capacity yet, so she shouldn't have to worry for now.

The two of us go outside and get in my car. I drive with one hand while holding Nevaeh's hand with the other. "Thank you for taking the day off for me, baby." I say to her.

"Anything for you, my love." She smiles. "I'm sorry work has been taking the fuck over my life." Nevaeh chuckles.

"You're okay, angel. I told you to stop apologizing." I say. "I love you, Bil." She sighs contently. "I love you more, baby." I tell her.

Once we get to Finneas' house, we get out of the car and walk inside. "Hello?"

"In the living room!" Claudia calls out to us.

Vae and I walk into the living room and I see Claudia holding a baby in her arms. "Uh, I'm sorry, did you two have a baby and didn't tell us, or..."

"We're babysitting for a friend on short notice." She rolls her eyes. "This is Mila." Claudia says, gesturing to the baby. "Isn't she the cutest?"

"Gimme, I love babies." Nevaeh says, holding her arms out. "Okay then." She laughs and hands the baby over to her.

"Nevaeh Grant likes babies? Who would've thought." Finneas chuckles. "It's O'Connell now. Get it right." I correct him. "Last name twins." Claudia says to Vae. "Hello? What about me?" I huff. "You're my sister in law, she's my sister in law's wife which means we're besties." She shrugs.

"Okay then." I furrow my eyebrows.

"Hi, Mila. You're so cute, baby girl." Nevaeh coos at the baby. Mila smiles and Nevaeh bounces her on her lap. "How old is she?"

"9 months." Claudia answers. "She's adorable." Vae grins. "Aren't you, sweet girl?" She says to Mila.

I've literally never seen Vaeh with a baby before, but it's so adorable.

"When are you gonna give me one of those?" Claudia asks Finneas. "Babe, I didn't know you wanted kids." Finneas shrugs. "Obviously I do!" She groans. "I want a baby."

Damn, I think I want one too with the way Vae is right now.

Why are girls that are good with kids so sexy?

"Okay, well, I didn't know!" He says. "Well now you do!" Claudia huffs. "Babe, I'm sorry, okay?" Finneas sighs.

"Jesus, those two are crazy." Vae mumbles to me. "Baby? Are you listening?"
