Amara  and Nate enjoyed the rest of their stay in Dubai sipping wine at night on their front patio, in the day they visited restaurants. Their activities turned less sexual and more intimate and this frightened Amara.

He was slowly growing on her, she was feeling a little too comfortable with him, she was at peace with him, as if she was home. And all these feelings frightened her. She didn't want to build home, she didn't want to feel comfortable only to loose it all one day.

Their time here in Dubai was coming to an end, in two day's time they would have to return home, both on their marry ways. One thing that she liked about all this was that she didn't want to jump his bones anymore.

She wasn't attracted to him anymore.

While on the other hand Nate was dreading the end of their time. His thoughts were polluted with their goodbye. He knew she would leave him as soon as these days will end but he didn't want this to happen.

Where Amara wanted to run away from this situation Nate wanted it to be his whole life. He had come here to get rid of all his feelings for Amara but instead these feelings had deepened, where he didn't want these feelings to go.

The more Amara was running away from this situation the more he was getting involved in it. His mind weighing whether to tell her or not. He knew Amara didn't want this so asking her for something she wasn't ready was something he was never taught to do.

Sitting from their villa patio he observed her laying on mat over the sand basking in sunlight, her new friends on the mats beside. She had made really good friends in these girls. She wasn't Amara Sullivan here but some other girl.

Nate liked how carefree and happy she looked here during their stay and if it was in his hands he would have stopped the time to keep her happy always and forever. He was ready to give all the happiness and respect to this woman.

He knew that time was slipping put of his hands, and that life had its ups and downs. But he was determined to be there for her through it all. Nate had never felt this way before, and he knew that he would do anything to make her smile.

He couldn't stop time, but he could make every moment count. He would cherish her, protect her, and love her with all his heart. And even though he couldn't keep her happy always and forever, he would try his best to make every moment they spent together a happy one.

He gulped the last sip of wine to pour himself some more. Where his heart was ready to give everything to Amara his mind was screaming how bad the idea was. He knew Amara won't agree to do this. He knew she would reject this idea but still he wanted to try.

In the battle between his mind and heart, like always he allowed his heart to win. Right there he had decided that he would ask her to be his girlfriend officially. He would confess his feelings even if she rejects his advancements.

On their last night in Dubai, they sat on the patio, their bodies close, but not touching. The silence was heavy, punctuated only by the clinking of ice in their wine glasses. Amara stared out at the city lights, mesmerized by their brilliance, yet feeling curiously detached.

"Amara, there's something I need to tell you," Nate said, his voice breaking the silence. His eyes held a mixture of longing and fear.

Amara's breath caught in her throat. The words she'd dreaded were finally coming. She braced herself, a part of her wanting to run, another wanting to hear him out.

"These past weeks... they've been different," Nate continued, his voice a low hum. "Everything feels more... real. Deeper. And I..." He paused, taking a deep breath. "I think I've fallen for you."

The words hung heavy in the air, shattering the fragile peace they'd built. Amara felt tears prick her eyes, but she held them back, refusing to give him the satisfaction of seeing her vulnerability.

"Nate," she said, her voice surprisingly calm, "we both agreed this was just a vacation. A fling. It meant nothing."

"But it did," he countered, his eyes pleading. "For me, at least. You can't deny that."

Amara looked away, struggling to keep her composure. "I can't do this, Nate. I can't let myself get caught up in something that's not real."

"But it is real," Nate insisted, reaching out to touch her hand. "I've never felt this way about anyone before. Please, just give us a chance."

"I know it's real for you," she replied softly, pulling her hand away. "But I need time to figure out my own feelings. I can't just jump into something like this without being sure."

Amara sighed, feeling torn. She knew she couldn't deny the connection between them, but she also knew that getting involved with Nate would only lead to heartache. Gathering her resolve, she pulled her hand away and stood up.

"I'm sorry, Nate," she said, her voice trembling slightly. "But I have to go." With that, she turned to walk away.

Nate scrambled to his feet, desperation etched on his face. "Amara, please. I can't lose you like this. We have something special, something that doesn't come around every day."

Amara stopped in her tracks, her back still turned to him. "Nate, we're from different worlds. This was never meant to last."

"But why does it have to be that way?" Nate implored, closing the distance between them. "We can make it work. I'll do whatever it takes. I've never felt a connection like this before."

Amara sighed, her shoulders slumping. She turned to face him, her eyes reflecting a mixture of sadness and determination. "Nate, you're a wonderful person, and I've enjoyed our time together. But we can't let this fantasy blur our reality. I have responsibilities, a life waiting for me back home."

Nate reached for her hand again, his grip gentle but firm. "I can be a part of your life, Amara. I want to be there for you. Don't shut me out."

Amara met his gaze, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "Nate, we can't build something on the foundation of a vacation romance. Real life is messy, and we barely know each other outside of this bubble."

"I'm willing to take that risk," Nate insisted, his voice earnest. "I want to know you, Amara, the real you. Let's face whatever comes together."

Amara hesitated, torn between the warmth of Nate's embrace and the cold reality of their situation. "Nate, I can't promise anything. I need time to sort out my feelings and think about what's best for both of us."

Nate nodded, a mixture of disappointment and hope flickering in his eyes. "Take the time you need, but please don't shut me out completely. I'll be here, waiting for you."

With a final, lingering look, Amara pulled away, leaving Nate standing alone once more. The weight of uncertainty hung in the air as they faced the challenge of reconciling their emotions with the complexities of their lives.

She may have rejected him but her heart screamed for him. She may knew it in her mind that they both were not compatible but in her heart she was definitely drawn towards him. He was the only man who entered in her life to treat her like a woman.

As much as she tried to deny it, his presence lingered in her thoughts and dreams. She couldn't shake the feeling that he was the one who could make her feel truly alive. Despite the rational arguments against their relationship, her heart continued to ache for him.

She pulled covers over her head and closed her eyes to escape the reality, she didn't want to face.
