Amara walked out of her bedroom. Sleep still lingering behind her eyes, her robe hung loosely around her. Her hair still a tangled mess. A cup of coffee can fuel her with energy to start the day.

Today a new journey awaits her. This would be her first time shooting with Maroon as their model. Her contract with them starts today. The new beginning fueled her with both excitement and nervousness.

Slowly when she walked down the stairs, her eyes fell on a bouquet of roses on the table. White roses were aligned perfectly in the basket which laid over the dining table. A smile spread across her face.

As she walked closer, she found a small note tucked between the beautiful flowers.

Congratulations on your new beginnings ~ Nate

"So you finally used the key to apartment I gave you" she whispered her herself. She couldn't help but read the small note again and again.

The sight of Nate's handwritten note was like a sunrise, pushing back the lingering traces of sleep and fear. Amara's fingers traced the familiar loops and curls of his script, the ink still faintly fresh. A rush of emotions flooded her – gratitude, warmth, and a newfound determination.

Holding the note close to her chest, Amara leaned against the table, inhaling the delicate scent of the roses. Their pure white petals seemed to mirror the blank canvas of her upcoming shoot, whispering possibilities of a flawless masterpiece waiting to be painted.

Picking up her phone, she snapped a picture of the roses and Nate's note, posting it on Instagram with the caption: "Ready to paint the runway red (and white). Thanks for the sunshine, Nate."

She didn't hesitate announcing what they had in front of world. She had spent a long time fearing this world. It was about time that she starts facing it with strength. She decided to shed her rock hard exterior when she had soft insides. Why not be the woman with strong heart.

Her phone chimed and she found the very first comment on her picture from Nathanial Sinclair himself: "Sunshine for my cactus. Can't wait to see you paint the world with your light, Amara. Every step you take is a masterpiece already. So proud of you."

She chuckled at the nickname he had given her. She once hated this name but it looks like there is no need to hate the name. The name reflects his love for her.

Picking up the bouquet, Amara carefully cradled it in her arms, the cool petals sending shivers down her spine. Each rose felt like a whispered promise, a silent encouragement to bloom in the spotlight.

Briefly, she considered leaving the roses untouched, a pristine symbol of Nate's love, but then a mischievous glint sparkled in her eyes. With a playful grin, she plucked a single rose from the bunch and tucked it behind her ear, its pristine white contrasting with the fiery strands of her hair.

It was a subtle rebellion, a declaration that she would wear this new chapter like a crown, thorns and all. She clicked her picture and send it to him.

Nate's response came swiftly, a string of heart emojis accompanying his words: "My rebel queen, turning every moment into a masterpiece. Wear those thorns with pride, they only make you more captivating. Shine bright, Amara."

With a renewed sense of confidence and a touch of mischief in her step, Amara headed out of her apartment, leaving the fragrance of roses lingering behind her. The city outside was waking up, and as she stepped onto the bustling streets, she felt a surge of excitement for the day that lay ahead.

The Maroon studio awaited her, a realm where creativity and passion merged to create art. Amara's nerves began to fade as she thought about the canvas she was about to paint, not just with colors and fabrics, but with her spirit and determination.
