Bags in your hand as you kiss me. Telling me you're gonna miss me. "I'm gonna miss you so much." you mumbled into my ear as you leaned against me, arms around my body with a suitcase in your hand. I hummed in response. I had nothing to say to you. "Promise you'll be on your best behavior?" I asked teasingly knowing you were going to lie clean through your teeth. You nod of course, a smile on your face. So innocent and secure. Little did you know.

I said goodbye to your brothers. Neither looked too thrilled to be there. They looked sad. They were trying to hide it, for my sake of course. I waved and smiled as you pulled out of the parking lot. You seem to be very good at pulling out of places.

Gave me your flight information. Call when you land, say you made it. "Hey, I'm in Boston." your second second lie. "That's good. I'm glad you got there safe." Sweet little me told you, "Go have a good time." Nick sends me your location. You had turned it off. Telling me it turned off during your flight and didn't want to turn it back on again right now. Your in another Boston airport, he sends me your flight details. Your going to fucking New York. I didn't mean forget about me. Riding in a yellow taxi, who the hell are you on your way to?

I search up the flight on my computer and watch when the landing time was. Tomorrow, early in the morning. I sent a thank you to Nick before getting in my own separate car on my way to the airport to fucking find you. You said I was yours, maybe just on the west coast. Cause as soon as you left home, you got wandering eyes.

As I drove to the airport I remembered all the times where I had to physically make you focus on me. Using my hands to get you to look me in the eye again. "Just fucking look at me for once Matthew!" is what I always wanted to say, but I brushed off the hurt and laughed in your face. You laughed along, thinking I didn't mind. Thinking I too found it funny. I wanted to hurt you. And I still do, but for now I'll settle with embarrassment.

I pulled up to the airport closest to me. It sent chills down my spine knowing that hours earlier you were in here, thinking about the girl in New York. Thinking about your hands all over her. How you'd show her how special she is compared to me. How we now have the same intentions of going to New York.

I wait in line as the woman at the front desk attends to other people ahead of me. I send you snaps and tiktoks to keep the facade up. I check your flight again, you hadn't boarded yet. Maybe I'll meet you there. My adrenaline skyrockets as I meet the woman in the front. "Listen, I need your quickest flight to New York. I just found out my boyfriend has been cheating on me with a chick over there and I'm gonna beat his and her ass." I smiled politely. The woman's jaw drops momentarily. "I'll get right on that ma'am. I understand how you feel, I was there once too." It hurt my heart knowing there were other entitled men out there fulfilling the same acts as you against other woman. But there was a sense of an alliance between us. She helps me plan a flight for the night and I pay. "Kick his ass for me okay?" she asks and I smile bitterly. "I will." She smiles sadly as I walk away. Luckily there had been a one way flight to New York.

Nick continuously sends me more information, as much as he has on the girl. He's never met her before in person, and Matt has almost every time they've gone back to Boston the past year and a half. He's left in the middle of the night or morning and won't come back for a week or so. It sent a chill through my spine.
