Bachpan (COMPLETED)

After sometime, Noor got a knock in her door. Umair's voice came from outside. Noor allowed him to come inside.

Umair- Noor! Neeche kyu baithi ho? Utho utho utho. Dekho ro ro kar pura chehra laal hogaya hai tumhara.
(Noor! Why are you sitting in the floor? Stand stand stand. See, your face is all red by crying.)

Noor- Rou nahi to or kya karu bhai?
( What should I do instead of crying?)

Umair- Ek baat pta hai tumhe. Tum sirf ro nahi rhi ho tum ammi ka dil bhi dukha rahi ho. Kitni fikr karti hogi wo tumhari tumhe andaza bhi nahi hai.
( You know a thing. You're not only crying but also hurting mom's heart. How much she might be worrying for you you don't even have an idea.)

Noor- Wo to mere lie duaein karti hongi na. Maa ki duaon me to bohot asar hota hai.
( She might be praying for me na. A mother's prayers are the most effective.)

Umair- Beshaq
(Of course!)

Noor- Fir bhi aisa kyu ho rha hai mere sath?
(Then why is this happening with me?)

Umair- Jiske naseeb mein jo hota hai, wo hoke hi rehta hai. Lekin aisa bhi nahi hai ki kismat me sirf bura waqt bas hai. Har andheri raat ke baad ek naya din zarur aata hai.
(Things written in the book of destiny are meant to be happen. But it is not like this that destiny only have bad time. A new day rises after every dark night.)

Noor- Aisi shadi se mujhe kya faida hoga?
( What will be my benefit from this wedding?)

Umair- Ho sakta hai ki wo tumse bohot pyar kare, tumhe wo pyar mile jo aaj tak nahi mila. Abhi to tumhari zindagi ka safar shuru hua hai. Aage to tumhe bohot se mamle jhelne hai.
( Maybe they'll love you so much. You'll receive the love you haven't received yet. Your life is starting now. You'll have to deal many problems ahead.)

Noor- Ab aap bhi mere sath nahi hai?
( Now you are also not supporting me?)

Umair- Mai hamesha tumhare sath khada hu. Par mujhe lagta hai ki agar tumne shadi se inqaar kardia to abba or phupo tumhara bura haal kardenge. Mai tumko aisi haalat mein nahi dekh paunga.
(I'm always standing with you. But I think that if you refuse to marry then dad and aunty will make your life the most worst. I cannot see you in such a worst condition.)

Noor stands up and moved towards the restroom.

Almeer- Baba aap aisa kyu kar rahe hai?
(Dad, why are you doing this?)

Rasheed- Beta dekho, tumhari maa ab ghar nahi sambhal paati hai. Unki tabiyat mein koi behtari nazar nahi aarahi hai. Or Zoha ko office se fursat nahi hoti hai. Or chand dino me wo bhi chali jayegi.
( See, your mother can't maintain the house now. I'm not seeing any betterment in her health. And Zoha, she doesn't have any time. She's involved in office work. After some days she'll also go. She's not our gem forever.)

Almeer- Hamare pass maid to hai na.
( We have maids.)

Rasheed- Ghar ki chabiyan or zimmedariyan kisi maid ko nhi sounpi jaa sakti.
( The keys and responsibilities of a house can't be handed to a maid.)

Almeer- To ek ghar ke lie aap 18 saal ke ladke ki shadi kara denge.
( Just for a simple house, you'll marry off a 18 year old.)

Rasheed- Aage jake to zaydad ke malik tum hi ho. Kya hi hoga shadi karne ke bad. Tum ko agar padhna ho to padhna nahi to business mein meri madad kar dena. Noor agar padhna chahegi to ham usey bhi padhwayenge.
( The future owner of all this property is you. What will happen after marrying. If you want to study continue with it or help me in my business. If Noor will be willing to study, we'll let her study too.)

Almeer- Agar Noor raazi na ho toh bhi aap zabardasti karenge. Islam mein to zabardasti ka niqah bohot bada gunah hai. Fir kaise haaji kahlayenge aap jo khushi khushi gunah me shariq horhe hai?
( And if Noor refuses then also you'll force us. Forceful marriage is a big sin in islam, then how you are a haaji who is happily being involved in sin?)

Rasheed- Almeer, ye tumhari  hi bhalai ke liye hai. Iske aage mai koi baat nahi sununga. Ab agar tum apni mama ki tabiyat ko or bigadta dekhna chahte ho to kardo inqaar. Or agar maine Zoha ko mai zimmedari nhi de skta kyuki wo bhi jald hi jane wali hai.
( Almeer, this is for your benefit. I'll not listen a word after this. Now if you want your mother's health to become more worst, then you may refuse. And I can't give this responsibility to Zoha as she'll be going soon.)

Almeer- Mai to Zoha baji se chhota hu. Uske bad bhi mai kaise padhai or biwi ki zimmedari sambhalunga. Or aap meri shadi kara rhe hai 18 ki umr mein.
( I'm younger than Zoha baji. How will I manage studies and the responsibility of a wife. You're getting me married in such a young age of 18.)

Rasheed- 18 ki umr mein shadi se koi burai nahi hai. Ab to tum y sab seekhna shuru karoge.
( It is no bad to marry in the age of 18. Now you'll start to learn things.)

Rasheed didn't heard a word and nor listened a word. He quietly moved out of there.
