For the next few hours, Jisung and I laid in bed. I was silent and spaced but he didn't try to speak.Between the hours of lunch and dinner, Jisung walked off to the kitchen after telling me to stay put. Watching him throw some food together, I began to feel cold.
I got up and wobbled over. Hearing a small chuckle, I wrapped my arms around his waist and rested my head against his back. I hummed. "You stole my warmth."
I could listen to his laugh for hours. I want to hear it more.
He turned around in my arms, cupping my face. The action still brought heat to my cheeks and my stomach fluttered.
For the second time today, a knock stopped our cute moment. With my anxiety rising after the first knock, the boy assured me with a kiss on my nose.
"Your father." He silently mouthed. Waving me over, he swung open the door.
"Mr Ryu." Jisung politely greeted the angry looking man.
"H-hi father."
The man turned his head down the hall. "I can see you three, just get over here."
Yuriko, Hyunjin, and even Jeongin all peaked around the corner, walking with bowed heads.
Jisung shut the door behind everyone as they waited for him to speak. Yuriko stood behind me, lightly rubbing my back.
This day didn't feel real since I woke up and I'm starting to suspect it really isn't.
Hyunjin and Jeongin sat off to the side as Jisung stood on my other side, keeping close.
"I'll keep it short and get right to the point. I don't like what's going on here. Since you boys came into the picture, more problems have been caused for me." He huffed.
A pit formed in my stomach as Jisung stood up straight, reaching for my hand and intertwining our fingers. "Sir-"
A hand was put up to shush the boy. "Let me finish before I change my mind."
"Yes, sir." He lightly bowed in respect.
"However..." He took a deep breath, his eyes wandering over to me. "You are an adult now. I can't deny that I've noticed your improvement since you started sneaking out to see him. You got some color back as well. For that, I thank you, kid."
Jisung silently bowed his head in response.
"Your Mother and I will back off a bit. We will trust that you make the right decisions for yourselves from now on. Moriko, you are more than welcome back home. Neither of you have to stay, either. Just promise me you'll work hard at whatever you do."
Who is this man
"R-really?" Yuriko stuttered, also quite shocked of his change of heart. "Does mother really agree to this?"
He shook his head. "Of course not. If I wasn't there to hold that woman back she would work you to death, like she almost did with her own little sister. Anyway, I'll get going. Jisung, Hyunjin, take care of my girls for me. Don't take them for granted like we did."
With those few words, he left. Yuriko and I just stared at one another, both of our eyes beginning to water. She pulled me into a hug, quickly getting emotional. "We can breath now." She sighed in relief.
I felt the click as I started to sob into her shoulder. We both fell to the ground, Yuriko holding onto me for dear life. Jisung began to rub my back in comfort, the two others awkwardly standing from a distance.
Yuriko passed me over to Jisung, giggling through her tears when her boyfriend handed her a tissue. I was also handed one, however Jisung had to take it as I just couldn't calm down just yet.
His shirt became soaked but he didn't hesitate to hold me close, rocking us back and forth.
"Well.. we were going to come hang out but I think we should rest for the remainder of our weekend, yeah?" The girl patted my back, getting one more hug.
"Feel free to stay home tomorrow, the boys and I will collect your work. I love you Mori." She smiled, fixing my messy hair.
"I love you too Yuri, thank you.."
After closing the door behind everyone, Jisung once again stood in front of me. He dried my face with the tissue, placing a kiss over each of my eyes. "You can cry as long as you need, I told you I'm here. From now on.. I won't leave your side."
