I could hear music playing as I approched the dance room. My heart pounded out of my chest as I just stood there, unable to walk near the door.

Why was I even here?

I have no reason to go into that room

I turned around and walked the other way, hitting someone's chest. I jumped back, looking at the boy wide eyed.

"Hey, you made it." Jisung smiled, grabbing my hand and pulling me into the dance room. Sure enough, no one was in the room and he had left the music on.

He walked over to his phone on the speaker, taking a quick glance at me. "You seem to dress different after school than during."

I shrugged my shoulders, walking to go sit on the ground against the wall. "I guess you aren't wrong. I just don't want people to recognize me when I come at night."

"Why is that?"

"Because gossip is a big thing at this school. It is how I found out about Yuriko and that boy." I rolled my eyes, catching sight of myself in the mirror finally.

Though my face was covered with a mask, my sleep deprived eyes were on display. I hadn't realized it was that noticable.

"'That boy' is my friend. His name is Hyunjin. And I happen to think they are cute together." He corrected, shoving his hands into his pockets.

Jisung wore an oversized white t-shirt with black sweatpants. It wasn't anything special but he looked.. good.

"Your friend had no problem telling you, so why didn't my sister tell me." I harshly snapped, instantly feeling bad.

It's not his fault she didn't tell me, calm down

"Didn't she tell you that she should have and regrets it?" He raised a brow, walking in my direction.

I rolled my eyes once again, looking away from him. He stopped in front of me, holding out a hand. "Let's dance."

"I don't want to."

"Then why did you come here? Just want to see me?"

I stood, anger filling me as I saw his smirk. "No, I came here because I wanted to-" I choked on my words, realizing I had no excuse ready.

He tilted his head, waiting for me to continue.

Imma smack that smirk right off of your face boy

I suddenly became lightheaded, slowly leaning back against the wall to play it off. I had eaten a few small things today, so I wasn't completely sure where it came from.

"I couldn't sleep. That's all."

He let out a sniffle of a laugh, nodding his head. "Okay, I'll believe you."

"Is that the only reason you wanted me to meet you here? You seem to have a sudden fascination with annoying me."

He rose his hands in defense, chuckling to himself. "Are you always this mean? What if I just want to be friends?"

I still couldn't understand what was going through his mind. No one wants to be friends with the popular girls outcast sister, so what's his angle?

"You don't want to be friends with me, you are just trying to help Yuriko out. Thanks, but we can deal with this on our own." I huffed, crossing my arms.

Stars filled my vision as I attempted to blink them away. I watched Jisung frown and take a step closer to me. "Are you okay?"

I slapped his hand away from touching my shoulder. "I'm fine, thanks."

"Look, I wanted to be your friend before Hyunjin and Yuriko started talking. I was just too nervous to approach you." He confessed, his eyes suddenly avoiding mine.

Not falling for the act, I pushed him out of the way and went to leave. He caught my hand, waiting until I looked back to let go. "Let me take you home. The crime rates and gang activity has gone up in this area."

I took a deep breath, taking him by surprise as I bowed. "You got your answers. I'm fine and I don't want to be your friend. Thank you for being there for Yuriko but I don't need anyone. Sorry to disappoint you, Jisung."

I casually walked out of the room, breaking into a sprint when I got into the hall. I ran all the way home, sneaking back in when I was faced with an angry Yuriko.

"Where did you go?"

I ignored her, walking passed her and upstairs. I attempted to close my door, sighing as she stopped it with her foot. "What the hell is wrong with you?!? I'm tired of just putting up with this!"

I looked at her with a blank expression, noticing what looked like a faint hickey on her neck.

"Surprised that I finally broke after eighteen years of pretending to be happy?"

Her expression dropped and her eyes softened. "Why didn't you tell me you were unhappy? I wouldv-"

"You would've what? Gotten more people to 'help you' by trying to get them to help me? Thanks, but I already told Jisung to fuck off. So please, leave me alone now."

She pulled the door open pretty easily due to my lack of energy and strength. "First off, I never told Jisung to help me. After I had already noticed your weird behavior, he came to me to ask if you were okay and became worried when I didn't know either. Second, if you would have talked to me about how you felt, maybe we could work through it and fix it. Mom and dad forced us both-"

"Don't start that shit. They forced us both yes, but you actually enjoy what you do. The singing, dancing, song making, and even being the popular, well admired girl that everyone wants to be friends with."

I pushed her back with a light shove, blocking her foot with my own. "Leave me alone, mom and dad will be back tomorrow."

-- lunch --

Boy it was a long day. The sleep I got last night was almost nonexistent.

I walked down from the roof early to use the bathroom, running into a group of girls hanging out on the stairs. I instantly recognized the group, knowing this was not going to be good for me.

   Jisungs fan club

"Hannah you were right, she was up there." A girl giggled, causing the other three to do the same.

"Let me through." I snapped, my bad mood becoming pissed off.

"You've been meeting Jisunggie after school, haven't you?"

Of course someone knew, these psychos probably stalk the boy

"Not purposely, no. Trust me, I don't want your boy." In attempt to walk through anyway, my frail body was thrown to the floor. My head harshly hit the hand rail causing my vision to go completely fogged over.

"Unnie be careful, she hit her head!" One girl whispered, getting shushed by the first. "And? She already looks like she's on the brink of death. Do you ever sleep?"

My shirt was grabbed and yanked up, but I was too dizzy to care who.

"Unnie!" The girl yelled in a whisper once again.

  "Shut up!"

  "B-but-"

"HEY!" A loud voice eochoed through my head as I was dropped, my head hitting the wall to make it even worse.

"Haha, Jisunggie! W-we were just playing a game and she fell-"

  "Move."
