Backstory:
Stark has a tough past, his parents abused him as a child (his father physically, his mother emotionally), which resulted on him getting even with his classmates, he went to the same kindergarten the Thanitos quads went in, they were victims of Stark's bullying, they always told the teachers (as well as their other classmates) but they never did anything, told them it was because of his family and to just tell him “to stop”
One day one of them has had enough, Astrid was playing on the sand with Ambar and Circe, Stark destroyed their sandcastle and pushed Astrid on the dirt, making her cry and shake, Aster got really mad and started beating the fuck of Stark up, Stark got severely injured and Aster went to the office
That day something changed inside of Stark, call him weird but he liked how he could smell his own blood, and the way Aster started beating the crap out of him.. it made him feel things
Eventually his parents got tired of him and disowned him and sent him to the orphanage where he meet Marigold, they were both unwanted (Stark: shark, Marigold: half-siren) and bonded because of that
Through the time, Stark went from aggressive to calm
During their current age, Cordelia came (read: broke) to the orphanage and adopted (read: took) Stark and Marigold
Stark expected a lot of things to happen knowing Cordelia's story, and he was ready for it, however, Cordelia turned out to be pretty sweet and understanding towards Stark and Goldie, Stark immediately warmed up to her, she gave them both a mission, spy on Obsidian and find things she can use on her advantage (like Zeta and Nazboo or something like that)
They both were signed to kaxnora academy because of Marigold's interest on witchcraft and magic (the staff never knew Cordelia was Cordelia because illusions.. idk if that makes sense)
Kevyn went to save someone's kitten, when he was about to leave the place he was in he tripped and got stuck, the cat left them and Stark went to rescue him, Stark gave him his hand so they can take it, Kevyn accidentally made him fall with him, Stark did anything possible to get out of there with Kevyn and he did, Kevyn was grateful and they became friends shortly after
That same day was Stark and Marigold's first day of school, Stark tried to interact with his “old friends” but they were all hostile towards him and they avoided him, Stark didn't know what was up… until he started to interact with Kevyn and Kevyn realized Astrid slowly started to avoid them, turns out he left them traumatized due to the bullying (duh) and they haven't gotten over it (DUH), and until Astrid was on good terms with Stark, Kevyn would stop interacting with him altogether
Stark still felt admiration for Aster after what he did on elementary school, he tried to find ways to get closer to him but Aster always avoided him, Aster later confronted Stark about it, Stark just explained he wanted to be friends with him, Aster was immediately disgusted, it took them a while but finally Stark apologized about what he did and Aster forgave him (he apologized to Astrid too but that's not important rn)
Stark and Aster spent a lot of time together and eventually Stark's feelings were requited
At a party, he was provoked by Heather, leading him to bite and attack her, everyone was horrified and they all left the scene, including Stark himself, Stark wasn't seen again after that
Later Kevyn and company found out Stark became a pirate and was part of captain Pegleg (Koraline)’s crew, Stark swore to them (more to Goldie than anyone else) that he was going to visit them at times and they had nothing to worry about, and If something happened they always come to him and the pirate crew
