Backstory:
He got kidnapped as a little kid by Zalaph, Zalaph manipulated him into thinking that he was a good guy and that people were against him because they are evil, he was raised by Zalaph after that alongside with Einer
He was already powerful and Zalaph gave him ‘the grimoire’, a book full of powerful and dark spells than only the most powerful beings could use, but magic always came with a price and the price of using it was corrupting himself even more the more spells he used, Erick tried to be cautious and use the spells only on important times, he quickly forgot about that and often used the grimoire, his soul and magic slowly corrupted as a result
His adopted father made him the leader of the cult of the obscurum, a cult that just like Erick himself, used dark spells and supported Zalaph's cause, he was the youngest there besides the child of one of the members
When he was 15 he meet the human twins, he, along with his father and his brother, convinced them to support Zalaph's cause, who in turn also tried to convince the demon twins to join the cause
The demon twins immediately clinged to Erick, Erick was like “I can use this” and manipulated them into doing stuff for him
The order were wary of Erick, specially considering he wasn't only a powerful sorcerer but also was a cult leader and could attack them along with the cult members, Zohar started interacting with him and was like “I can fix him” (spoiler: he didn't)
Once the humans knew the truth about Zalaph, they ran away, Erick stayed loyal to Zalaph although Einer started to get suspicious
He later found his mom, he always assumed Winona (Lucy's mom) was his real mom until then, she was cursed and was a bird creature and only communicated with bird sounds, Erick shared half the curse with his mother so she couldn't suffer and got a somewhat bird appearance as a result
Erick later realized about Zalaph's real tactics, Zalaph only chuckled and thought he wasn't necessary anymore and made some of his shadowhounds try to attack him and make him run way and, if they were lucky, kill him
That's when he came to the Diuslotha empire “redeemed”, the order still didn't trust him but Zohar did and he was in a higher place than the rest of the members of the order, Aiden and Ember were always bullying him because of how he treated them, Kara forgave him, Lancelot didn't and his relationship with Lucy was complicated, ✨️ yay ✨️
Years later Zohar and Erick got married and had kids, Erick was pretty distant to them and was like Kevyn's parents (“there are kids picking me on school and I don't want to go there anymore :(“ “well dear child what do you expect me to do??” “....”), as a result he has a bad relationship with his kids (at least with oldests, Circe is like the Fuyumi of the family and Merla is pretty young so the realization didn't hit her yet), but hey! At least Erick doesn't have to parent his children anymore! To make matters worse is that he sees Ambar and Diana as his own kids and treats them better than his own biological children (Andre Bourgeois is that you?)
