Arthur woke up already dreading the day.Today was the big day; The event held by the government was today. And he had no choice but to attend it with his family. But that was understandable.
Arthur's family was extremely wealthy, but that wasn't the only reason why they and a bunch of other important and wealthy families were able and allowed to attend such events. There were politicians, as well as lawyers in Arthur's family.
He was currently twenty seven, and studying to be a lawyer. But of course, the only reason why Arthur's family was close with the government, was because they often supported and helped the Government with whatever plans they had. Money wasn't an issue anyway, although, Arthur found it utterly stupid how they were throwing money around, without even knowing what the Government was actually doing with it.
His mother, Medalia Bloomlock, had informed him yesterday that this event would be very important. More important than the event they attended a year ago to celebrate for the New president they voted for, Arnold Palmer.
So Arthur had no choice but to get out of bed. With a groan, and a slight curse under his breath, he pushed his blanket aside and rolled out of his massive bed. Stretching his long limbs, Arthur looked around his humongous room. He had some cleaning to do, his father would just argue with him, telling him about how they had maids for such things.
He walked towards his balcony, staring down at the passengers that hurriedly made their way through the busy streets. It was only ten in the morning, and yet many had a lot to do. Wealthy people with their wealthy businesses.
Arthur hummed, a thought plagued his mind. Everyone, and literally, everyone had money. Everyone was successful, everyone was doing well, that was great. But.. It was very unusual, it had been like that for sixty years. Where did the rest of humanity go?
Arthur knew that it wasn't possible for everyone to have money, life was unfair, there should always be two sides of the coin.
According to the tales his forty four year old Aunt, Marlena Bloomlock, often told him and his cousin, Stella Everknown Bloomlock, he couldn't help but wonder.
Maybe the rest had moved to the Undercity; Mispair. But it didn't make any sense. The Upside city; Dreamaspira, was safe to live in, it was beautiful, clean, and... The Undercity sounded like it was the complete opposite of that.
According to the rumors, and speculations of the Authorities, it was dirty.. Dark, they had a very different and unusual style compared to the Upside city. Assaults were frequently happening, and it was just not pleasing to the eye. But of course, Arthur would know nothing, thankfully so, he had never been there.
There were two cities. Although, again, according to Arthur's Aunt's tales, they were connected. There were different cities in their country; Evolontrol. But.. No one was really sure about what happened, they only knew that someone found the other cities, the cities that had no rulers, and they re-built it. Thus creating, The Undercity; Mispair. They made it sustainable enough for people to have lives down there, Arthur wondered, was it really dirty down there?
The Government completely abandoned those cities, only focusing on this city that merged with a bunch of other cities that were in Evolontrol. When they found out that someone re-built and ruled over the "Undercity", they gathered all of the good cities, and merged it into one big nation. Thus, creating the Upside city; Dreamaspira.
The Upside folks had given the Under city that name, and they adopted it. It was a strange name, but, Arthur was certain that it was just a mix of two bad words, just like how he was certain that the name that was given to the Upside city was just a mix of two good names.
Arthur eyed his clock, he had to be ready in under two hours. He wondered if he would manage to do that, but he could, If he could just stop pondering on the inevitable.
Sighing, he walked towards his mirror. His black curly neck length hair was extremely messy, there were tangles there and knots there. He thought about the last time he had his bushy eyebrows groomed. Feeling his Roman nose with his index, he smiled, he really loved his nose. He truly was a beauty, with high cheek bones, thin lips, tanned skin, and his amber eyes.
His body was eye catching, lean and tall, how could one be so handsome? He thought.
Cracking his neck, Arthur checked the time again. He scolded himself for wasting ten mintues. He ran towards the bathroom, it would be for the best if he got ready before his mother decided to barge into his room.

His shower was surprisingly shorter than he had anticipated. He walked out of his bathroom as if he were merely taking a stroll through the garden. His wardrobe was neatly organized, the only thing that was so compared to his entire room. He picked out a brown jacket and brown pants, a beige vest, a white dress shirt, a black tie that he would wear along his black dress shoes.
Arthur took the towel he used solely for his hair, and he slowly dried his hair. When he was sure the water would not drip down his face continuously, he combed his hair with his light green brush his mother had gifted him when she had noticed that his hair was growing, and he did not want to cut it.
Eventually, Arthur finished dressing up, and that was when his door swung open. His Mother, dressed in a beige Mermaid type dress, stood there with an serious expression. "Thankfully you're already dressed. Come on now, Arthur."
Arthur rolled his eyes. "We still have forty minutes, mom.."
She clicked her tongue, "Don't you know how far the location is? Besides, it's always good to be early, we have to make a good impression!"
"Right.." He complied for now, quickening his steps.
He tried to convince himself that the event wouldn't be as bad as he believed it would be. That meaning, boring. But.. Arthur was no psychic, he could not tell what would happen. That was the sad part about life, it was unpredictable and unfair.
