Jane stretched her right arm out for one of her members to drop a huge package on her hand. "Is the deal still on? Or has the death of one of your members started to haunt you?" She smirked teasingly.
Brenden grinned maliciously, "Of course not," He said without any hesitations. He turned to face her, "Hand it over here."
He reached out a hand for the bag, but Jane brought her arm back to her chest. She stared up at him challengingly. "..You want it?"
Brenden lifted his chin up and stared down at her and questioned her antics. "Jane."
Jane shrugged. "We had a deal, Now I don't like to do this because of our.. Differences. But I'm willing to set those aside if you help me with this."
Brenden let his hand drop. "You wanna know about the Superhuman?"
Jane nodded.
Pierre let his arms unfold. Brenden knew of the Superhuman?
Brenden let his eyes roam Jane's body, and she caught his fiery gaze. "..Ah.. Ah. Stop it," Brenden's eyes met her teasing stare.
"That's not gonna happen, it never did, and it never will. Help me out, and I will sell you as much drugs as you want." Jane proposed. Brenden couldn't deny, that sounded like an amazing offer.
"I'll lessen the price." Jane continued.
Brenden raised a brow. "Money isn't an issue. Why do you want to know the whereabouts of the Superhuman?"
Pierre almost jumped out of his hiding spot, but thankfully Joshua held him in place. Pierre was awfully curious, and interested in this conversation that he had long forgotten about Arthur.
Jane sighed defeated. "I'm helping someone out, that's all you need to know. Trust me, this might be beneficial for your case."
Brenden walked back to his spot, he sat on the tire, and leaned his head back. Jane's eyes followed him cautiously. "..My case?" He breathed out.
Jane frowned. "I know how much you desire Pierre's position. If you tell me what you know, I can do something about that."
Jane startled the two in hiding. Pierre knew about Jane, he had spoken to her a few times because she was the best friend of the woman he has been spending the night with for a while now. And to think that she was plotting against him. Pierre wasn't as troubled as he thought he would be, but that was mainly because he hadn't told Lisa anything about what he was planning, what he told his members, and his theories. He sighed.
Brenden's eyes snapped towards where she stood. "Can you?" He stood up.
Jane looked confident. "Yes."
Brenden approached her, Jane never staggered. He threatened her lowly. "If I find out... That you lied to me," He flipped his pocket knife open, and pressed it sharply against her neck. Jane's members stood up, and stepped forward with protective and malicious intentions.
"I'll slaughter you." He said gently. And that was enough to make Jane's stomach churn, the fact that he had said such vile words gently.
Jane smiled. "Of course, I hear you."
Brenden nodded at her, "Alright."
Brenden stepped back, he observed her for a little while before giving in. "I saw them. The Superhuman. Ten years ago, the exact same day they were said to be missing, I saw them leaving Mispair using a gateway that disappeared right after."
Pierre couldn't believe his ears. The amount of information he acquired today was a lot. Firstly, more work piled up over his previous ones. He has to protect two men he had no care for, the superhuman was still missing, he hadn't read the numbered stack of papers, Arthur had just gotten himself in the biggest trouble he's ever been, and now this?
