A few weeks go by, and Collei and Sucrose are the best of friends. Collei talks about sucrose so much Tighnari might as well get tired of it. Everyday, Collei was practically bouncing up and down while walking to school.
Sucrose and Collei walked out of the girl's gym locker room to the cafeteria. They sat down and began eating. Collei noticed Tighnari surrounded by friends. They all looked so happy together. Collei, knowing Sucrose was an introvert, smiled knowing that the smiles they gave each other made their day fulfilling.
As they ate, Collei couldn't help but notice a bright and happy girl bouncing from table to table talking to people. Her long hair flowed behind her and swayed as she moved. Collei could help but feel mesmerized by the way she moved and her smile.
Sucrose shook Collei lightly. "Collei. Collei?"
Collei snapped out of her stare and looked at Sucrose. "Yes?"
"Who or what were you staring at?" She tilted her head.
"Who's that girl with long pretty hair?" Collei looked back at her. She was now talking with Tighnari and his friends.
"Nilou? Isn't she sitting with your brother."
"No, no." Collei shook her head. "The girl who's entering and exiting conversations."
"Oh, you mean Amber? She's a nice person, and she sees the good in everyone." Sucrose smiled at Amber's positive attitude.
"How do you know that?" Collei looked at Sucrose, them back to Amber.
"We live in the same neighborhood."
Collei nodded, her eyes following Amber. She moved so perfectly. Her smile was bright enough to illuminate a room from a tiny dark corner.
Collei could feel her heart pounding as she continued to stare at Amber. Sucrose couldn't help but laugh to herself.
"What?" Collei snapped out of her gaze and looked at Sucrose.
"Nothing, you just seem so focused on Amber."
"Well...yeah. She's pretty." Collei could feel her face growing warm the more she thought about Amber.
"Yeah, she is pretty." The bell rang and everyone went to class. This was the one unfortunate hour of the day when Sucrose and Collei weren't together.
Wait, am I?! NO! I can't be!! Collei's face grew red and hot with the thought of Amber. Oh archons...she cute!!
