A Lovely Surprise

Amber

Amber's history teacher Ms. Kujuo had announced a field trip to the Museum of Teyvat History, and everyone had to be in groups of three. Amber's eyes had never had so many sparkles in them after the news of the field trip got out. She was thrilled to go places outside of school on a school day, but her group was not. She had to travel with her two favorite introverts.

Amber was in a group with Collei and Sucrose. She always came by to remind them about how much fun they were going to have together.  Collei and Sucrose couldn't escape Amber's excitement, and it was honestly tiring.

The day before the field trip, Amber couldn't hold her excitement any longer. She readied everything from the moment she got home and couldn't stop squealing and kicking her legs in excitement.

Field Trip Day

Amber was pulling Collei and Sucrose around, practically bouncing up and down with everything she saw. During lunch break, Collei and Sucrose were exhausted and tired. Amber felt guilty.

"Am I annoying?" Amber asked suddenly. Collei looked towards her.

"Why are you asking?" She tilted er head.

"You and Sucrose look exhausted, and I feel like I'm wearing you out and making you tired." Her shoulder's slumped.

"Amber, we're not tired because of you. We're tired of being around people in general," Collei explained.

"People includes me?" Amber tilted her head. Collei shook her head.

"No. I mean the class idiots and the strangers around us," Collei said. Amber held back her laughter when Collei said 'class idiots'.

"Does class idiots include Scaramouche and Lyney?" Amber let some of her giggle escape.

"You're asking!?" Collei's eyes widened. "Those two have the intelligence of a rock!" Sucrose spit out her water and started laughing. Amber and Collei finally let their laughter out as well. They held their stomachs from laughing so hard.

"I wonder if they're dumb enough to try and date Lumine  and think that Aether won't kill them." Sucrose snickered at her own joke. Collei was trying not to fall over from laughing.

"Oh Archons, what if they heard us talking trash about them?" Sucrose only laughed harder after Amber said that.

"They're staring at us!" Collei cackled and fell over. Amber and Sucrose let their laughter loose and held onto each other for support. The trio spent a good five or ten minutes laughing before they could finally catch their breath.

"Okay, let's get back to the rest of the class." Sucrose sighed. They looked around to find no familiar faces. No one from their class was there, no teachers, no one.

"Where did everyone go?" Collei was starting to panic.

"Don't panic," Amber reassured them. :They couldn't have left without us, we leave the museum at 2:30." She checked her watch.

"How much time do we have?" Sucrose looked at Amber's watch.

"We have an hour and a half," She replied. Collei sighed.

"We should find them so we don't get left behind." The three girls quickly packed up their things and darted from place to place in the museum to find their class. At one point, they had lost each other. They were about to give up when they heard a familiar voice.

"This is the Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale."

"Mr. Neuvillette!" Amber, Collei, and Sucrose rushed towards the voice of their math teacher. Sucrose's eye was caught by an old artifact room. She suddenly stooped speed walking and stared at the room.

"Sucrose?" Collei tapped her shoulder.

"What do you think is in that room?" She pointed to the room filled with old artifacts. Curiosity took control of all of them, and their feet started carrying them to the room without a second thought. They entered the dark room and their eyes were filled with awe.

"Is that...?" Sucrose's words trailed off. She was too stunned to speak. Collei stepped close to the glass case of the artifact.

"It's the famous glider that the traveler used as they traveled across Teyvat." Collei's gaze never left the beautiful pair of wings. They stared at the wings for a solid two minutes before they came to reality.

"Right. Our class." Sucrose facepalmed.

"Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight." Amber turned around on her toes. "Do we really have to return to those idiots?" 

Collei nodded. "Let's not get left behind again."

They quickly caught up with their class, and never mentioned that they had gotten left behind for laughing themselves silly.
