"Ms. Miller, come to my office we need to talk."- my chief editor
I was brought to reality by those words.
"*sigh* not again."
I fix myself and went to my chief editor's office.
"I need to clear out things, Ms. Miller. I know after that, you are still bothered."- CE
She can really read my thoughts, what can I expect.
"Its already been a year, I'm okay."
Well its been a year and still counting... Hahaha bitter!
"Don't lie to me, Skye. Bestfriend mo ko ever since nasa tiyan pa lang tayo ng mga nanay natin." Here goes my Chief Editor *slash* my Bestfriend since FETUS!
Yes she knew everything, every tiny bit of my existence.
I gave her a sly smile.
At kumunot naman ang noo niya.
"I know your skills very well. Last year is your best year. Before that thing happen."- best
My brain gives me fast flashbacks. And again... I feel the wound in my chest.
I find myself staring in the floor, reflecting myself.
"I'm sorry Skye! Di ko sinasadya." She said it with a worried face.
And then she suddenly hug me. I feel comfortable.
"It takes time to heal. But you know we are here for you." She said.
I only noded.
After that drama. Well, we begin the professional talk. As an employer and employee.
"We need to publish your breakout book in 5 months." Best
Ohhh in 5 months... Wala pa kong maisip na theme hahaha.
"In 2 months take a rest, take a leave here so you can prioritized the book you will be writing." She suggested
I gave her an ok sign.
"After two months, we can let the board review, ellaborate and clear it for the publishing. And after that everyone will know that the famous Lady Labyrinth is back."
Well I think it is a good idea.
"Sige, and please wag mong sabihin ulit yung, the famous Lady Labyrinth is back. Nagmumuka kang evil character ng fairy tales hahahaha."
Nag-cross arm naman siya and look at me intently.
"Ok ok fine, you are beautiful. Hahaha."
"Stop it or your fired." She
Oops I don't want to loose my passion.
"I'm joking. Sorry. By the way. Aalis na ko, I need to think very well about the theme of the book. Mahirap baka magalit po kayo boss. Hahahah."
"Oo gawin mo ng ayos yan. Take care Skye, take care your heart too." She said
I wave my hands as a sign of bye.
After riding a cab and I went to my condo.
Well 2 months is enough to prepare something good for the readers.
I lay on my bed to think the theme. I was staring on the wall and I can't think of a theme.
After that rest, I open my laptop to see what is in my website.
I saw my readers, taking pics, using quotes, hashtags to post the books I've written way back then.
I feel satisfied to read their comments about my last year's phenomenal book. As an author it is very inspiring.
When I get tired of reading those, I closed my laptop and get the book I wrote last year.
Again, what theme can I have?

I'm Skye Miller known as Lady Labyrinth (its my pen name). I already wrote 3 books. Their themes are more on life experiences.
But for my breakout book, I want something new. Something that will surprise everyone...
