If anyone had asked Jungkook for advice in that night, he would have told them to start going everywhere by foot. Although he was being dramatic about it, he still wouldn't consider it bad advice.

He would have been lying if he said he wasn't comfortable on Taehyung's lap, putting aside the non-existent space between the top of the car and his head.  His relieved breath was, however, a must as soon as he stumbled out of the car.

Taehyung swiftly placed a hand on his lower back, saying "Watch your steps."

"Maybe I'll fall into a bed with a girl tonight," Jungkook said as they entered the house. Music was blasting in their ears even before they opened the door.

It was just as they expected. A huge living room almost full of people of any age. Most of them were dancing to the deafening music, while others were sitting on the couch, leaning on the walls, or sitting at the kitchen counter. And, surely, some were upstairs getting messy.

"Not before I do." Taehyung patted Jungkook's shoulder and dived into the crowd, immediately blending under the dim lights.

Jungkook chose to take his time, slowly brushing through the crowd to get to the kitchen, where the drinks were. Every person he passed by reeked of alcohol, and so, why wouldn't he do that too? Taehyung wasted no time in getting action for himself. Jungkook wasn't in a hurry. He didn't even expect to get anything tonight.

The first shot of the night was vodka. Jungkook choked from the burning sensation in his throat. For a moment, he could say things had gotten clearer. He watched the others dance, unconsciously searching for a certain black hair.

"Hey," someone screamed in his ear, causing him to flinch back. It was a girl—a very hot one— with a determined look in her green eyes. She was slightly shorter than him, but didn't shy away from him.

Jungkook thought about asking who she was, why she was talking to him, maybe start a friendly conversation... But behind her, Jungkook saw a couple rushing up the stairs. Not a couple, actually. Just Taehyung with a girl.

Already? he thought, glancing at his phone. It hadn't even been an hour. His brows furrowed on their own, then the girl next to him waved a hand in front of him, repeating herself.

Now, instead of a potential friend, he saw an opportunity.
"Hey," he said casually, as if he didn't need 5 minutes to answer her greeting.

"Are you here alone?" she asked.

"Yeah," he said without skipping a beat. Then he smirked and turned fully towards her. "Are you?"

"Just me and the girls," she sighed. "And because kissing girls is gross, won't you help me experience a New Year's kiss tonight?" The girl let the words hang between them, biting her fingernails.

The boy was, well, stunned. Two things: two girls kissing was actually kind of hot to him. It was boys who shouldn't kiss each other, in his opinion. Second thing was the offer he had just been presented. Satisfaction flowed through him, as he didn't even need to go after a girl, she came to him on her own.

"It would be my pleasure."

The girl's face lit up. "Perfect. Look for me 5 minutes before the countdown." She left before he could have asked for her name. She skipped next to another girl who was glaring at Jungkook from afar.

He shivered, looking the other way. He didn't consider himself to be the type who only hooks up with girls without getting to know them before. Well, there's a first for everything.

Several drinks later, he couldn't think anymore. He found himself dancing in the middle of the crowd at one point, sweaty as hell. Catching his breath, he caught Taehyung's eyes across the room. His hair was messy, two bite marks painting the side of his neck.
