"And where do you think you're going?"
Phoebe froze when she heard that voice. She turned around and faced the person. He was definitely tall, and big. His buzz cut, beard, coupled with the scar on his cheek, if he was an animal, he'd be a bear, a very ugly and scary bear.
Jack Redford. That's his name. Phoebe knew him. He's George's friend. He visited the house a lot. And Phoebe hates the man with a burning passion.
There was this one time when he came to visit. And that night George decided to punish Phoebe for not making dinner quick enough. Phoebe remembered that day clearly. George shoved her to the floor and kicked her a couple of times. Instead of stopping him, Jack just cheered him on. He even had the audacity to tell George to give her a few extra kicks. Which, of course, George did.
And now, having Jack standing in front of her, hand gripping on her shoulder terrifies Phoebe.
"I've been looking all over for you, let's go home" He said.
"I'm not going with you and you can't make me" Phoebe tried shrugging off his hand to no avail.
"You are going to come with me and that is final. You'll be staying with me while your dad is away." He said, this time he started leading Phoebe out of the restaurant.
"I'm not going with you and I have nothing to do with that man ever again." Phoebe planted her feet on the ground, not wanting to move an inch from her spot.
"You will come with me or-"
"Or what?" Phoebe interjects. "Just leave me alone. My alphas wouldn't like it if they see what you're doing to me now. And trust me, you don't want to see them mad"
Jack's hand quickly went from grabbing her shoulder to grabbing her face. At this point people start noticing. Phoebe saw Stacy rushing towards the backroom, probably getting her boss.
Jack turned her head left and right, before sniffing her neck.
"What alphas? From what I see, they haven't marked you yet. And how long has it been since you sent your father to prison? I wonder why they haven't marked you. Probably because they don't want you. I heard they were rich. And easy on the eyes too. And I can't think of a reason why they want someone like you? A poor, stupid, weak, ugly omega who got her mom killed just because she was so needy." His lips were next to her ear, she can even feel his breath with each word that comes out of his mouth.
Phoebe felt something wet on her cheeks. Phoebe was crying.
"What the hell is going on here?" Phoebe's boss, Marc, exclaimed. "Get your hands off my employee and get the hell out of my restaurant!"
"She's coming with me" Jack started dragging Phoebe out.
"You let her go right now! I'm calling the police" Marc pulled out his phone.
Something must've snapped when Jack heard the word police. He let go of Phoebe and started going after Jack. But before he could even take his second step, he fell on his back with a groan. When Phoebe looked up from his body, she was met with the sight of Stacy hands tucked on her sides, one leg raised to where Jack's face was.
"My mom made me take Taekwondo" Stacy shrugged.
"Ok then, I guess that makes it easier. The police are on their way. Can you stay and keep an eye on him until the police arrive? Make sure he doesn't try anything." Marc said after ending his phone call.
"Sure" Stacy nodded, grabbing a chair and placing it near Jack.
Marc then guided Phoebe into one of the seating booths.
"You can't go home by yourself. Is there anyone I can call?" Marc's voice is full of concern.
"Yeah" Phoebe then proceeded to give him the number.
