Chapter 4 - Trip To The Past
"Taylor! I do not like Max! He is a total douchebag!" I exclaimed and groaned
Taylor has this habit of always assuming I have a crush on someone, when in reality, I don't.
"Stop lying to yourself Carrie! I know you do!" Taylor exclaimed
"Why would you even think I like Max?" I asked
"Because Carrie! I saw the way he was flirting with you, and you flirted back" Taylor said with a smirk
I furrowed my eyebrows. "What?! No! Yeah he was flirting with me, but me, flirting back?! No. I was telling him how I don't like him, and that I don't want to date him" I said
"Mhm..." She said not amused
I groaned again. "Taylor, you're my best friend! You're supposed to know why I don't want to be in a relationship" I said
Taylor sighed. "Yeah, I understand Carrie. But you gotta understand that the reason why you don't believe in love, is not exactly the truth. Accept the past and move on Carrie!" Taylor exclaimed
I looked at her and galred. "I can't just move on Taylor. You can't tell me to move on, even when it's about my past and when I'm not ready" I said harshly
Taylor sighed. "Okay, I'm sorry. But you gotta let go of this Carrie. You need to find someone, and be happy" She said
"I am happy. My happiness doesn't revolve around a guy. I don't need a guy to be happy" I said
Taylor nodded slightly. "Alright. I gotta go. Sorry again Carrie. But some point in your life, you need to let your past go. Your past is the reason why it's holding you back from doing the things you wanna do" Taylor said and walked out my room
I sighed and layed down, breathing deeply to try and calm me down, and to release the thoughts of my past.

"Sweetie! Dinner's ready!" My mom yelled from downstairs
I sat up slowly before getting off my bed and quickly going down the stairs and entering the dining room.
As I walked in, I saw my mom already seated at the dining table, waiting for me to join along.
I walked towards the table and pulled out the chair that was across from my mom, and sat down.
Once I was seated, I reached over to get some macaroni and put it on my plate.
After getting my food, I began eating it.
We ate dinner in silence, how we usually eat.
But the silence was broke when my mom cleared her throat.
"Um, Carrie, I got a note from your father" My mom said

CLIFFHANGER!
Idk if you've noticed, but I haven't mentioned Carrie's father until now.
Where was Carrie's father?
