Chapter 15

[Edited]

"I'll see you later Tay" I say as I exited through the front entrance of the school

"But I thought we were gonna hang out after school?" Taylor asked and stopped

My eyes widened and I stopped in front of her.

"I'm so sorry Taylor, I totally forgot.. My dad's back, and he's really hoping to spend more time with me" I said to her and frowned

"You're dad's back and you never told me?!" She exclaimed

I put a finger on my lip, signalling for her to keep it down.

"Shush! Yes.. My da-... Jeffery is back" I said and sighed as we both continued to walk

"How are you feeling?" She asked and looked at me with worry in her eyes

I sighed. "I don't even know.. So many things are going through my head, and I'm feeling so many emotions towards him" I said honestly

"You don't wanna talk more about it? You don't have to go home right now, you could come over to my house and talk about it if you want" She insisted

I looked down for a while, thinking if I should, or not.

It won't be a bad idea, I'm pretty sure Jeffery wouldn't mind..

And besides, you've been keeping in your emotions, you got to somehow open up.. Numbing the pain will only make it even worse once you start feeling again.

The voice in my head said.

I looked back at her and nodded my head.

"Yeah.. I'll call my mom and Jeffery, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't mind" I said and shrugged as we both walked towards Taylor's car

Once we reached her car, Tay unlocked it, and before I went inside the passenger's side, I heard someone yell from in front of the car.

I looked towards where I heard it from and see Cameron running towards me.

"Carrie! Wait up!" Cameron yelled and ran faster

Once he reached me, he stopped and took a few short breaths to balance out his breathing.

Once he controled his breathing, he stood back straight.

"What are you doing after school?" He asked

I looked at Taylor, who was already in the driver's seat, staring at me and Cam, and clearly listening to our conversation.

"I'm going to Taylor's house, why?" I asked

Cameron shrugged. "I don't know. I was just hoping we'd hangout again" Cam said and leaned his arm on Taylor's car

Taylor beaped her car horn, and Cameron jumped in fright.

I began laughing hard after seeing Cameron's reaction, and a few seconds later, I hear Taylor yell.

"Don't you dare do that again Cameron!"

Cameron looked at her and stepped back.

I looked at Taylor and see her smirking, amazed at the fact that the 'hot guy' wasn't trying to argue with her.

Cameron rolled his eyes and looked bsck at me, waiting for an answer.

"Oh shoot! Uhh, I'm not available right now Cam.. Sorry" I apologized and bit my lip, feeling bad for him

"Nah. It's all good. I'll see you tomorrow" He said and began walking back to his ride

He looked back at me and winked at me before turning around again.

I rolled my eyes and went into the car, taking a seat on the passenger's side.

I swear man, that boy confuses the hell out of me.
