It was Thursday now and today I was finally allowed to leave this hospital. It was also the day that I had to face the others again. I had ignored everyone the past few days. I didn't let them come visit me and I had refused to answer the calls or even read my texts. I felt really nervous about the whole situation and I could barely get the horrible tasting hospital food down my throat.

The nurse, who's name was Anne, took away my half full plate because it was pretty obvious I was struggling to finish it. She knew I was nervous because I had talked to her quite a lot the last few days, as she was the only person I could stand having around me. She didn't look at me with pity in her eyes and that was all I needed right now. Of course she felt bad because of what happened, but she was a nurse and she could deal with those things. She was also really great in calming me down when I was having a bad dream or a panic attack and I would definitely miss her.

I checked the time on my phone, 12 texts and 8 missed calls. I think they've given up. It was only 9 o'clock, so I decided to take a walk in the park behind the hospital. Today I was allowed to go on my own and I appreciated the freedom more than ever.

The was small and peaceful with benches everywhere. I felt uncomfortable with the fact that every single person sitting on the benches was probably sick or hurt, which made my stomach turn. I tried not to think about it much and sat down on an empty one, staring at my feet for a while, breathing in the fresh air I had craved the last few days.
