Old days

BOTH SI-OH AND NAM RA WERE EXCITED FOR NAM-RAS PLAN.

She decided she was gonna help Si-oh find his calling or at least a hobby. A knock came to the door. Nam-Ra pulled it open to reveal Si-oh. he was dressed in Blue jeans, and a black crew neck. The collar of his white t shirt.

Nam ra stood there looking at him. A symbol on the right side of his chest. "where did you get that" she asked. A c was on his sweatshirt. Just like the one anton left with.

She wished she would have found out his korean name. He never told her as it never crossed her mind to ask. "Got it from a friend" he shrugged. "was his name anton?" she asked slowly.

his eyes landed on hers. he had two choices. tell her he was anton or lie. "never mind forget i asked, i don't want to hear about that guy" she shook her head. "Why not?" he asked frantically.

"Anton is a ghost." she muttered before closing her door behind her. the two set off down the hall with words lingering in the air. The two walked outside, the noise of the busy streets filling their ears.

"so what's the plan?" Si-Oh asked opening his car door for nam-ra. she slid in "i found a painting place" she said. He stopped in his tracks "you want to go...painting?" He questioned.

"i'm sorry is a stupid idea? i'll look for another place" she pulled out her phone and swiped on a long list in her notes app. Si-Oh grabbed her hand keeping her from scrolling.

"it's a amazing idea" he offered her a sweet smile. Her eyes glazed over his features. He was a beautiful man.

She hated herself because no matter how much she claimed to be over Anton and how much she hated him, she was still looking for him in everyone she met.

She looked for him in her ex and now she was looking for him in Si-oh. After a fun car ride with singing and talking the duo pulled up to a small shop.

Nam-Ra noticed her and Si-oh wore similar clothing. She wore a long sleeve black top with blue jeans and a white sweater. The two walked into the shop, the faint smell of paint wafting through the air.

"Hi welcome" a woman at the register smiled. "Hello" Nam-Ra waved with a smile. the two grabbed things to paint, paint sets and a table. The place was completely empty.

"no one else is here" Si-oh looked around. "yes well i didn't know how you felt about people so i rented the place" she said. He smiled back at her, his eyes shinning.

"So tell me more about you" Nam-ra asked starting to paint a mug. "i don't have any siblings. i grew up in a russian orphanage of such" he said. Her eyes flew to his face but he was looking down painting a canvas.

"when did you move to korea?" she asked. "i was 18, when i came to start my business. when did you move back to korea you mentioned you lived in the states" he asked her. his eyes glued to her awaiting her answer.

"i was 20 when i came back. i left again last year and now i'm back" she said. "what did you do in states for such a long time?" he asked. "i went to high school and some college. i was waiting" she said.

"Waiting?" he asked intrigued. "Yes. a topic for another time" she said. he nodded "so. cherries are your thing?" he asked her.

Her eyes lit up "yes they are. i love the fruit but i don't like cherry flavored candy. Did you know they used cherry flavor because it was the easiest to make. That and a lot of people liked cherry before it was associated with medicine. Personally i don't mind the fruit but not medicine"

her face twisted in disgust as she thought about medicine. Her eyes met his face "i'm sorry i didn't mean to talk so much" her hand placed over lips. There was something about the way he looked at her.

A soft smile stretched on his face and a dazed love look in his eyes. It all felt so familiar. Her face became warm "why are you looking at me that way?" she asked. "I like hearing you talk Nam-ra".

"you do?" her eyes widened. "I don't mean to be so forward with you. But i'm starting to like you Nam-ra" he said. "you've known me 3 weeks" her eyes widened.

"3 weeks. it doesn't take long for someone to begin liking someone like you" he said. His paint brush moved along the canvas as she stood stunned.

"excuse me miss. would you and your boyfriend like a picture?" the girl from the register stood with a camera. "oh we aren't-" Si-Oh cut her off. "Yes we would" he said. Si-Oh got up and moved his chair to sit beside her.

She placed a hand on his shoulder and leaned into him. Her smile wide and eyes shining. Si-Oh just watched her with the same look in his eye as before.

Once the picture was taken Nam-Ra shifted into another pose. "Come on pose" she nudged him lightly.". He ripped his eyes away from her and looked at the camera. His face cold with his lips pressed in a line.

"No you have to smile like this" she gestured smiling moving her hands. He smiled at her and the woman took the picture. "These will be printed soon" the woman said before leaving.

Nam-Ra frowned "i didn't get to do the pose i wanted". "We can go to another place for it" he patted her shoulder.

The two finished what they were painting and went to pay for it at the register. "Here are your pictures miss" the worker handed her two copies of each picture.

The way he looked at her in the second picture made her heart flutter. "Are you okay?" Si-oh asked her. "yes. i like this one" she tapped the one of them smiling.

Si-oh packed her and their stuff into his car and drove off toward her house. On the way Nam-Ra was checking her messages as she had turned her phone off.

messages from her Jun-Woo littered her phone, some from work, once from her mother.
