SI-OH STROLLED HAPPILY INTO THE CAFE.
He stopped in his tracks as he stared at his worse nightmare. Justin choi from high school. He was standing beside Nam-ra. He was dressed in slacks and a white button up that was rolled to his forearms.
Nam-Ra caught sight of Si-Oh and dragged Jun-Woo over. "Si-oh! meet my brother Jun-Woo. Jun-Woo this is Si-oh" She smiled introducing them. "nice to meet you Si-oh" Jun-Woo crossed his arms.
"Oh my muffin is ready i'll be back" Nam-Ra smiled and walked away. "Cut the shit anton" Jun-Woos smile dropped. "Nice to see you justin" Si-oh said. "do you like hurting people? more specifically do you like hurting my sister?" Jun-Woo asked.
"no. i don't intend to hurt her" Si-Oh said. "You will. She's in denial about you being anton but when she finds out. she will never want to see you again" Jun-Woo spat.
"so you understand why i haven't told her. if i tell her, she'll think i never loved her" Si-oh said. "She already thinks that. she waited 3 years for you to come back to her. even tried to replace you" Jun-Woo scoffed.
"I love her too" Si-Oh glanced at nam ra who got side tracked chatting with the barista girl. "you left her. my best advice, just leave. either way you cause her pain" jun woo said.
"here you are oppa! i'll see you after work" Nam-ra handed her brother a coffee. "Thank you. Be safe nam-ra" he patted her shoulder and left. "You two seems to hit it off well" She grinned.
"Somewhat" he shrugged and pulled out a chair for Nam-Ra. She grinned in thanks and sat down. He pushed her chair in before sitting down across from her.
"how was your family dinner?" Si-oh asked her lightly blowing on her coffee. "My stupid brother ruined it" Nam-Ra sighed. "Jun-Woo? you two are so close" he asked his eyebrows knitted together.
She shook her head "my half brother hee-sik. He really hates me you know" she sipped her coffee. Her eyes held a hint of sadness. "Why?" he asked her.
"My mother had a affair when she had me. Hee-Sik seems to think i broke his parents marriage" She recalled the last time she saw Hee-Sik as her brother.
Loud arguing was heard down stairs. The Kang Siblings cowered into a corner together. "it's gonna be okay" 13 year old Hee-Sik whispered to his 12 year old sister.
tears slid down the girls cheeks, flinching as she heard her fathers heavy footsteps coming up the stairs. Her mothers pleas behind him. The door swung open and her father stood there.
His face red with anger, he pointed a finger at the cowering Nam-ra. "you get out of my house you bastard!" he shouted at her. Frozen in fear she didn't move. "leave her alone!" her mother pleaded only to earn a swift slap.
Their father grabbed Hee-sik and pushed him across the room. Hee-Sik's back hit the wall, wind leaving his body. Nam-ra went to scramble to her brother but her father grabbed her ponytail.
She yelped and squirmed in his tight grip. "Dad please let me go" She sobbed. He threw her across the room. "Don't call me that. i am not your father" he shouted stomping toward her. "What's happening?" Hee-Sik asked with desperate eyes. His mother cowered in a corner.
Hee-sik watched as his sister was dragged out by her hair and his mother scrambling after her. Her sisters pleas for him to help her but he couldn't.
A tear slid down her face "that was the last time i had seen Hee-sik for a while". Si-oh reached forward wiping the tear from her face. His hands were warm as they softly traced her cheek.
Her eyes lifted from the table to him. "Im sorry i ruined the mood" she laughed a bit trying to ease the very obvious tension. Si-oh stood from his spot and went to hug her.
he pulled her from her chair and into his chest. At first she was stiff shocked by the sudden contact but very quickly melted into it. The two stood holding each other. This was the first time in about 8 years the two had held each other.
"Let me take you to work, i don't want you to be late" he said. "You'll be late as well" she mumbled. "That's fine" he said.
Si-oh knew this had to end soon, she would hate him if she discovered the truth about his company or even him. Yet that selfish burn took over his body. The same 18 year old desire to be near her and her only.
He dreaded when she left his car. "Goodbye Si-oh" she waved. He leaned over the console to see her better as he waved with a smile. She was only half way in when a man in a suit approached her.
In his arms was a big arrangement of flowers. "Min-Yu" her eyebrows knitted together. "You look amazing" he offered her the flowers. Si-oh clenched his teeth in anger as he watched.
"What are you doing here" she looked around. "I came to bring these to you. i know how much you love daisy's" he said. She truthfully didn't. She loved pink roses but it felt wrong for any man to know that but anton.
Si-Oh scoffed at the daisy's. "She doesn't like daisys you idiot. She's loved pink flowers since she was 8 years old". Of course he was talking to absolutely no one. "Go home Min-yu" she shook her head walking away.
