First choice

"YOU LOOK INCREDIBILE!"

Micheal grinned. "It's nice to see you again Micheal" Nam-Ra smiled back sitting down in her seat. Micheal Baek was a 5'10 guy with dark hair and a slightly muscular build.

His hair nearly covered his eyes and he was dressed in jean and a nice shirt. "It's actually Seo-Jun, i started going by my korean name a while ago" he said. "Right i'm sorry Seo-Jun. This is such a fancy restaurant for a little reunion".

"Only the best for the most beautiful girl in high school and college" Seo-Jun grinned. "I'm sure only you thought that" she laughed a bit.

"Everyone did. Must imagine the heart break when anton was chosen" He sipped on his drink. "By the way, you guys aren't married?" he asked.

Nam-ra swallowed thickly "no. um he moved and we lost touch" she said. A waitress came by asking for their food orders. Nam-ra got a simple chicken salad as she wasn't gonna stay long.

"My roommate was never that bright" He shrugged. "Anton is smart, he didn't have a choice" she defended. "Are you still in love with him?" Seo-Jun asked.

"No. it's been years" she waved dismissively. "Yes but nothing ever leaves a mark on you more than your first choice" Seo-Jun said.

Ryu didn't mean to stalk her. He really didn't but when he heard she was off on a date he couldn't help himself.

He was sat in a booth behind the couple ducking down heavily. His jaw clenched and hands gripped the menu in his hand wrinkling the paper.

How could this jerk? Moving in on his only love?

"i guess" she said sipping her lemonade. "I've heard you've done amazing things for yourself Ms.Chairwoman" he changed the subject. "Ah yes i went into fashion design. And you?".

"I'm a cop. Homicide unit" he said. Her mind wandered to Hee-Sik. It had been so long since she had spoken to him. She felt guilty about her behavior.

"I never pictured you as a homicide detective" she said. "Yeah well it kinda just called to me after what happened with Yoona" he said. Yoona was his high school girlfriend who died years back.

Nam-ra frowned at the mention of yoona. Nam-ra's food was placed in front of her as was Seo-Jun's. The two ate catching up on lighter topics as Si-oh angrily listened.

He wanted to get up and snatch Seo-jun by his collar. Smack him senseless and make him regret ever coming. He also knew Nam-ra would be more than upset to learn how ryu was ease dropping so his best bet was to send her a text.

Please come to the cafe tomorrow
i don't wish for you to stop coming to a place you love because of me

Nam-Ra glanced at her phone. Emotions swirling in her eyes as her eyes glided along the text.

Stop texting me
i don't want to see you

Please hear me out at least?

No

Nam-ra please
i know you don't really believe id leave you with no explanation

i don't even know who you are anymore

Get to know me again

You've caused me nothing but pain
can't you see that?

And i hate myself for it everyday

Her eyes watered as she read the text. "Nam-ra? are you ok?" Seo-Jun asked. She closed her phone and smiled at him "yes i'm fine" She sniffled a bit.

"You know it's rude to text on a date" Micheal sipped more of his drink. "yes it is. But i'm not on a date" She said. "Would you like to go on a date with me?" he asked.

A glass broke at the table behind them a server quickly coming to pick it up. Si-oh quietly apologized profusely. His grip on his glass was so strong it shattered the cup.

"Um i'm not sure. maybe" she said. Nam-ra was completely lying. She could never see herself on a date with anyone but Si-Oh. She was lying to him as well. Though he hurt her deeply the second he came waltzing back into her life she was happy again.

She was no longer chasing after the approval of Hee-sik and she was doing much better mentally. Of course until she found out he was lying to her again.
"It's late i should get home" she said.

"i understand" he said and waved over a server and paid. Si-oh watched the two leave as Seo-Jun drove her home. He sighed deeply leaning his head on the glass.
