The first week of classes isn't even over yet, but I already feel like this is the worst semester I've had out of the almost four years I've spent at the academy. Granted, most of this frustration is coming from my interaction with Ahri earlier today. I thought having something to eat from the dining hall would elevate my mood a bit, but that didn't work. So now I'm heading back to my dorm to set my stuff down and then going to the training facility to see if there are any free time slots I can take right now. Maybe that'll help me blow off some steam.
As I walk down the hall to reach my room, I spot Kai'Sa coming out of her room and walking towards my direction.
Kai'Sa: Hey, Y/N, how's it going?
Y/N: It could be going better, but all in all, I'm alright. How about you? You doing good? I know how hard it can be settling into a new place.
Kai'Sa: Sorry to hear that, and yeah, I'm doing good. As for settling in, I'm more than used to it by now. Believe me.
Y/N: That so?
Kai'Sa: Yeah, my whole life, my father has traveled around for work, and I always went along with him. I've been pretty much everywhere now.
Y/N: Really, how'd you manage all that moving around?
Kai'Sa: I always tried to find a place where I could just go and escape for a bit and relax.
Y/N: Have you found that place here in the academy yet?
Kai'Sa: As a matter of fact, I have. A small café on the outskirts of the campus. I'm actually heading there now.
Y/N: Yeah, I think I know which one you're talking about. Man, I could use some relaxation right about now.
Kai'Sa: Why don't you join me then?
Y/N: I don't know, I was gonna go to the training facility and blow off some stress by blasting stuff. That usually works for me.
Kai'Sa: Trust me, this tea they have will wash away all your stress. So, what do you say? Come with me?
Honestly, I'd have to be a clueless idiot to not accept her invitation. Some calming tea with an admittedly very cute girl. I'm in.
Y/N: Sure, I'll go. Let me just put my stuff down first.
Kai'Sa: Alright then, I'll wait for you down the hall.
I open the door to the dorm and make my way towards my room. I set my backpack down on the chair next to my desk and double-check to see if I have everything. I got my keys, wallet, and phone. I'm good to go. Before I walk out, though, I leave a note on the kitchen counter letting Jayce know I might be back late. That's if he even makes it back from the workshop before me. That dudes a workaholic.
I find Kai'Sa at the end of the hall, and we start making our way to the café. She said it was on the outskirts of campus, which makes it sound like it's far. But, given the placement of our dorming hall, it's actually only like a few minutes away from us.
Kai'Sa: So, I hope it's okay to ask, but what's got you stressed out?
Y/N: I had my first student council meeting today, and let's just say it didn't go like I thought it would.
Kai'Sa: Oh? What happened?
Y/N: Me and the other class rep, Ahri, got into a bit of a disagreement.
It was more like a shouting match at one point near the end, but she doesn't really need to know that.
Y/N: Have you gotten to meet her, by the way?
Kai'Sa: Ahri? Is she the fox vastaya, because I think I have her in one of my classes.
