Staying here is somewhat pointless. I mean I don't think anyone likes each other. We just coexist. And it's not like I really interact with them. I'm more of a living ghost now that I think about it. Absent but a living, distant memory.

Reeling from my thoughts, I hear a pair of footsteps approach closer to my room and knock.

Bloody hell.

Knock

Knock

I laid in my bed waiting for Elijah to stop knocking.

Knock

Except he doesn't. Great. You would think he has common sense. But, he doesn't.

Knock

Before I hear the sound of Klaus's sole making contact with my door, I swing the door open, leaving Klaus in a humorous stance.

"What do you want?" I say, grudgingly.

Annoyed, Klaus returns to his original stance and attempts to catch my collar. I evade it. Watching his eyebrows furrow, I hear Elijah's voice in the background.

"Klaus."

Caught off guard by Elijah, I feel Klaus's hands clenching on my collar.

"What's wrong with you?" Klaus asks, looking into my eyes, as if my eyes were the windows to my confession.

"Nothing," I reply, nonchalantly, before looking into his eyes-the corner of my lips curling up, subtly.

Pulling me closer to him, Klaus whispers, "Your attempts to deceive are feeble. Did you forget who you are in front of? Spare me this charade you are playing. Where did you receive those?"

A few seconds of silence enter the room. He's anticipating an answer but nothing comes out of my mouth.

Chuckling, Klaus shakes his head.

Elijah interjects with, "Klaus," followed by a pause and then, turns to me, "Kol".

"Don't bother with Kol. It looks like he won't be replying anytime soon," Klaus says.

That he is correct with.

"But I don't mind. Makes it all the easier to heal him," he continues.

'Shit.' No need to read between the lines, I knew what Klaus is up to.
