kinda busy rn you're gonna have to wait for me to pack her stuff"Damn she always making me wait." Amiri muttered. "Where do you usually wait at?" His girlfriend asked. "In the house or in-
"In her house?" She snapped making his face immediately fall flat. Kyro was the mother of Amiri's 4 year old daughter, Ivy, and currently, It was his weekend with her so he was on his way to picking her up.
He'd usually come alone and spend time with the two before he brought Ivy home with him just to catch up, since they technically were still a family; but went their separate ways.
They ended on good terms which was why Amiri would make sure Kyro was good herself instead of being one of those petty baby daddies and rubbing stuff in her face.
Today, his girlfriend just so happened to be with him, so she of course wanted to tag along with him just to see what "really" went on when he went to pick Ivy up.
"It ain't even like that bruh, chill." He said making her roll her eyes. "Whatever.. let's go, Amiri." She sighed.
Amiri hated how she would act like she lacked confidence when she wanted attention from him.
Some times it was cute to him but other times, such as now, was unbearable. The ride to Kyro's house was silent but the tension in the car was so thick;
you could cut it with a knife. They soon arrived and Amiri got out quickly after parking in her driveway. His girlfriend scoffed and followed behind him, catching up so she could ring the doorbell herself.
The door soon opened, Kyro smiling before her smile softened when seeing his girlfriend. It wasn't the fact that it was her at the door, but instead the fact that she was cheesing like a kid.
"Hiii!" She obnoxiously squealed. "Hi.. come in." Kyro said, trying to be as nice as she could. Amiri just shook his head as he sat down on the couch.
"Sooo where's little V?" She said as she plopped down on Amiri's lap. "She's watching tv upstairs but her bag is ready now." Kyro said, going to Ivy's room to check on her.
Kyro never wanted Ivy out of her house so bad until now. She could only imagine what her little girl had to endure while her stay at her father's house.
"Do I have to go?" Ivy pouted when seeing Kyro come in to retrieve her. "I'm sorry baby, it's your daddy's weekend with you." Kyro said, playing with the beads at the end of her natural fulani braids. God did she resemble her daddy.
"Well.. when I come back can we have a ice cream party like you promised?" Ivy asked making Kyro grin. "Of course, love, come on, your daddy's here." She said, kissing Ivy's forehead.
Kyro turned the tv off and helped Ivy put her jacket on and was about to walk back into the living room before stopping.
"Chill bae, my daughter and nem here. This ain't even our place." Amiri whispered to his girlfriend, earning a whine from her.
"Uh, Ivy's ready." Kyro said as she held Ivy's hand. Amiri almost immediately jumped up, smiling when seeing Ivy run over to him.
"All her stuff is in the bag as usual and make sure she wears her bonnet to sleep because I JUST did her hair." kyro said as Amiri picked Ivy up.
No matter how big she got, Amiri still loved picking her up and holding her because she was still his baby. "I'll make sure I put it on her, thank you, Kyyy." His girlfriend said as they headed for the door.
