birthday special!!
Yvonne hummed a familiar tune to herself as she scrolled on Pinterest for party outfit ideas, waiting for her boyfriend, Chase, to come out of the gas station he went into to grab a few snacks for the two.
Chase's birthday was in a few days and Yvonne oddly hadn't been asking him what he wanted like she always did every year, even though he'd always say he didn't want anything.
But he was still a bit worried to say the least.
It wasn't the fact that he wanted her to buy him something, but he at least wanted his special day to be acknowledged in some shape or form like how she always did.
But what Chase didn't know was that Yvonna had something up her sleeve this year.
Since she had graduated not too long ago, she'd become more busy with her college stuff, so she would be able to use that as an excuse of her "forgetting" his birthday.
But in actuality, she was planning a surprise birthday party for him and his family and friends were playing right along.
Eventually, Chase got back in the driver's seat, sitting the black bag in her lap. "Thank you, loveyyy." Yvonne sung, turning her phone off and sitting it in her lap to dig in the bag.
Chase only watched her, he couldn't believe she was forgetting his birthday. Luckily for her, Chase planned on just hinting at his birthday rather than flat out asking if she forgot to see where her mind really was.
"So.. what you think bout the album drop date?" Chase asked, flipping his freshly retwisted locs out of his face. "I think it's good, it's 'bout time you drop it anyway after teasing everybody for months with it." Yvonne said, retrieving her tropical skittles and Snapple.
He only let out a breath of air. "Also, I booked a nail appointment for you tomorrow at 1, so be on time." Yvonne said. "A nail appointment?" He asked as he begun driving again.
"Yeah? A lil manicure, boo. I like when your nails look clean, it makes you look even cleaner." Yvonne said, interlacing their fingers as she held his free hand.
He bit his lip. No matter how disappointed he was with her "forgetting" his birthday, she was always capable of finding a way to make him feel better.
She could clearly tell when he would start hinting at his birthday, which made her feel bad because she knew it was bothering him badly.

"Ouu babe this looks good." Yvonne gasped, pointing at the lobster pizza on the menu. "Hey." Yvonne said, cheesing at him while making her eyebrows jump. Chase cracked a smile.
"Gone head and order it bruh, fuck it." He chuckled, Yvonne smiling even harder as she started looking at the rest of the menu.
"Mmm what other toppings did you want? We can do half and half, I just wanna try the lobster one." Yvonne said. Once they finally agreed on what they wanted, Chase decided to inch his way closer to asking her about his birthday furthermore.
"So youn feel like you forgetting something?" Chase said, Yvonne looking up from her phone to look at him. "Nope, I'm pretty sure I'm caught up on everything." Yvonne said.
Chase wanted to scream so bad right now "Yvonne, you for real, bae?" His tone softened. "What are you talking about Chase?" She chuckled, "confused" as ever. "Aight bruh." He said, sitting back in his seat.
"You're so crazy." Yvonne smiled, shaking her head as she pulled out her phone.
