Daddy has left me alone again, told me he was going to bring me a surprise when he returned home. I begged for him to stay and when he told me he couldn't, I begged for him to take me along.
"Hailey Baby, you know people are still looking for you. You need to stay hidden until this dies down." I pouted beneath my pacifier, not wanting to let Daddy leave. Despite my protests he slipped out of my grip and with a soft kiss on my head, he was gone.
I sat on the floor, playing with my toys but I couldn't put my heart into it. I just wanted my Daddy to stay with me. I hated being alone. Things had been getting worse. When I was alone the voices would speak, telling me it was time to escape. They told me to kill Daddy.
But that was the last thing I wanted. Daddy was my only friend, the only one who cared for me. I couldn't kill him.
I could never leave him.
