Once Hailey had given me her address, I was out the door in seconds. My heart was pounding as I drove in the direction towards her house. It'll be the perfect time to go through with my plan. That is as long as her annoying friend didn't get in my way. I looked towards the glove department where my gun rests. If she does, I'll just have to deal with her.
Only a mile to Hailey's house, I stop at a nearby gas station and pay for two cups of coffee, one black and the other rather sweet. To make the coffee absolutely perfect for my baby girl, I reach into my pocket and open a small bag. Quickly glancing around to make sure nobody was looking, I dumped the special "candy" in her drink and casually strolled to my waiting vehicle.
"I'm outside," I messaged Hailey as I took a sip of coffee. I desperately hope everything goes as plan. I nervously tap my fingers on the steering wheel and reassure myself that I'll have my little girl soon. It doesn't take long for Hailey to come running outside, trying to shield her beautiful auburn hair from the rain with her apron. I smile at her hurried steps and admire how cute she is.
Once she settles inside and buckles her seatbelt, I inform her I had gotten us coffee. "I don't know if you even like coffee," I indicate towards the steaming cups, "if not I'll drink it." Hailey flashed me a sweet smile as she snatched the drink from the cup holder and took a sip.
Nervous to complete my upcoming mission, I try to distract myself with small talk until the drugs took effect.
"So how long do you have to work today?" I asked as I pulled out of her driveway. "Hmmm just until six," she answered her lips still glued to the coffee. I nodded in response, driving aimlessly and hoped she didn't notice my shaking hand as I took a sip of my drink. To my delight, it doesn't take long for her to begin struggling to keep her eyes open. I carefully remove the cup from her nearly limp hands to ensure she doesn't spill the hot drink on herself. I wouldn't want my little girl harmed in anyway.
As I pass by her job, she's already sound asleep.
