Elena nodded softly and bit her lip anxiously, waiting for what was to come. "She said yes" Hobie shouts into the hall. Miguel steps into the room without any hesitation. He stares at Elena, waiting for her to make the first move. There's a long pause charged with an intense atmosphere.
Elena bursts into sobs "Papí I'm sorry!!" she cries and reaches out for Miguel. He immediately rushes over to her, wrapping his arms around her. "It's ok, it's ok, mija. I'm sorry too, I should've been honest with you." He pulls back just enough to be able to look into her eyes. Elena is shocked to see tears welling up in his eyes as well. She's never seen her father cry before.
"Papa don't cry" she cries out pulling him close to her again. "I'll try sweetheart, I'll try" he whispers, still holding her close to him. "I love you! I didn't mean anything I said, you will always be my dad!" "I love you too mi princesa, always and forever." He kisses the top of her head as they continue to cry in each others arms.
