Winter Secrets

Winter is known to hide secrets and Jack knew this from the start as he lay in his New York apartment on the couch. Watching the snow fall he started to think back to when they first started to tour and he fell for the boy he's now hoping will return after meeting with Lisa.

"Look Jackie a snowflake!"

"It is Lex, isn't it. I guess we haven't seen snow in a bit"

"A little bit?!?! It's been ages Jackie!" with that the shorter flopped onto the ground in his thin jacket.

"Lex you're gonna get a cold by doing that."

"No, I won't cuz you'll warm me up when we get inside and make the sickness go away."

Jack was pulled from the memory by a sharp knock at the door. Slowly Jack got up to see who could be knocking. No way Alex made it back from his meeting with Lisa that fast. Opening the door he saw a drenched Alex.

"Hey..."

"The fuck you tell her?"

"I told her the truth that I was dating someone and I wasn't interested in her."

"So why did she splash you with water?"

"I apparently lead her on? When I was vocal about how fucking gay I was"

Jack at that time laughed but let Alex into his apartment. As reality set in he's heart started to pound.

Oh, he's dating someone Jack you don't stand a chance.

Alex waved his hand in front of Jack's face.

"Earth to Jackie boy!"

"Huh?"

"I said I'm going to take a warm shower and crash here if that's okay?"

"Oh yeah, that's fine."

"Okay, I'm also stealing some of your clothes."

With that, the two split up and Jack went back to his spot on the couch. By the time Alex got out Jack called his sister forgetting Alex was there.

"No May he's dating someone. He told Lisa that"

"No im not stupid!"

"May I don't have a chance. I have a better chance at getting into Blink-182 than dating him!"

Alex stopped in his tracks to Jack's bedroom as he heard this and instead moved closer to the kitchen out of sight to listen.

"I'm not doing that!"

"May I not going to tell him I'd ruin the band!"

"Those meant nothing to him all just a stage act and I rather he keeps thinking it was that to me as well!"

"May is going to go. Tell Mom I'll see her next week. Bye love you"

Alex quickly by quietly headed into Jack's room to change hoping his shadow wasn't seen as he ran away. Once dressed Alex stepped into the living room seeing Jack put on home alone and walked out of the kitchen with two hot coco's.

"Here" Jack said awkwardly handing Alex his favourite cup with a sea otter on it that they got from the Seattle aquarium when on tour there.

"Jack..."

"Hmmm?" the older said pretending to be focused on the TV in front of them.

"I overheard your conversation with May.."

Jacks eye's went wide so Alex rushed to finish.

"I'm not dating anyone. I mean I asked someone out but you haven't responded to it!"

"What....?"

"Jack I asked you out last tour and all you did was laugh on stage and walk away from the mic!"

"I thought it was a stage act!"

"Nope!" Alex said popping the p loudly.

"Is it too late to respond?"

"No, luckily you have 20 more seconds left!"

"Woah don't need to be sarcastic."

"10 seconds!"

"I Jack Barakat accept your proposal and would happily date your dumbass."

"Smoooth Jack smooooth"

With that, the two watched all the Home Alone's and cuddled. Despite Alex coming back with an awful thing that was actually a part of his plan to get Alex to date him Alex knew one day he'd tell him but not now. For now, the winter could hold his and Lisa's secret.
