Snowflakes fell around the two 6-year-olds. Both their set of parents were inside discussing them and their futures. Both knew little of love or anything but they did know they loved each other. Bold thing to say as a 6-year-old to you're parents but they didn't care. They told everyone their dating even their two new friends Rian and Zack who found it cool.
"JACKIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!" a 16-year-old screamed as he saw his boyfriend.
"Lexieeeeeeeeeeeeee!" Jack mimicked back to his boyfriend.
"I dunno how you two lasted 10 years together you both are annoying as fuck" Rian said sarcastically.
"Cuz we just build different" Jack snorted.
"Jack never say that again" Zack chimed in as he walked over to them.
"Aw you love us don't like!"
"I hate you all," Rian said with a straight face.
"Mhm sure you do." the other three said at the same time which caused them all to laugh.
*Time skip to later that week*
Seemingly the two boys now 10 years older sat down while their parents discussed them as parents do.
"Jack?"
"Hmm?"
"Remember when we were 6?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Is it weird we actually stayed dating after all these years?"
"No Lexie. Clearly even as 6-year-olds we knew we were meant to be. If anything it's weird other people find it weird."
"Jackie? Do you think we're soulmates?"
"Yeah, Lex I do think so!"
Around 5 years past it was the day before they normally fly out to see their family both excited to see the snow and their families again. The two boys stayed together even after 15 years which most people don't believe they dated as 6-year-olds but they didn't care as they had each other and didn't need anyone else. The fact was they started a band with Rian and Zack which caused them to drop their college plans as they became huge.
The two once again sat outside as snowflakes danced around them. Both not saying a word as the adults inside discussed when they'd get married and such. The fact was Jack had a plan for that and he told them one more week.
"Jackie?"
"Yes, Lexie?"
"Will we ever get married?"
"Yes, Lexie I promise you we will like we told everyone when 6 don't worry your cute face about it."
With that, Alex kissed him and they sat on the steps til Alex's parents sent the dogs after them causing them to rush inside to play with them.
Fast forward a week later on stage in the middle of Alex's banter, Jack interrupted.
"Uh, Alex I have a huge question since it's our last US show in our own hometown."
Alex raised an eyebrow, "Go ahead, Jackie"
Jack handed his guitar to one of the techs before walking over to Alex who was confused getting on his knee and pulling out a little white box. Alex looked even more confused until Jack started his speech.
"Alexander William Gaskarth I've spent 15 years with you and I knew from the first day I saw you you're supposed to be my everything. Even as a 6-year-old, I knew we were meant to be together. I spent years trying to figure out how to ask this and wondering when the time was right. Funnily enough, this was all on me with my mother telling me to do it when it felt right and this feels right Lex. So Alexander William Gaskarth will you take me lowly Jack Bassam Barakat as your husband?"
Alex stood there a moment in shock, he knew one day Jack would propose but he didn't expect it to be now which is the whole point he knows but he couldn't get over it. He couldn't get a word out so he nodded to which Rian chimed in
"Bud consent has to be clearly given out loud plus not everyone could see how you just responded!"
Alex flipped him off but said weakly into the microphone, "Yes!"
Alex then pulled Jack up and kissed him. Jack put the ring on his ring finger as they kissed. The crowd around them went wild as they two kissed until they ran out of air. Jack winked before going and grabbing his guitar and they launched into a new song with Alex still in a small daze that was like the summer daze he felt that year.
Around a year later that same day Jack stood waiting at the aisle for Alex to be walked down the alley by his dad. Though many laughed and called Alex the bottom which bothered Alex he didn't want to change it even though Jack offered to switch Alex's spots.
The wedding went as planned with only one friend standing up dramatically to object as a joke causing them all to laugh. Alex and Jack shoved each other's face in cake which was mainly Jack's plan which made Rian yell "YOU ALWAYS DID THIS TO HIM!"
Causing the married couple's parents to nod and say "It's true Jack always did this to Alex whenever he had anything with frosting just about."
And just like that Jack married his soulmate or as they liked to call each other snowflake match as no two snowflakes were alike but they do have a match to go with them and they found there's which many cannot say they have yet or ever had. This fact made the pair happy and they wouldn't change anything for the world.
"Jackie?"
"Yeah, Lexie?"
"Do you think we'll get married at all in the future?"
"Of course Lexie why wouldn't we?"
Oh, how right the two 6-year-olds were when it came to them. They grew up and stayed in love which many also cannot state is their case but they could.
"Of course, they'll get married one day Isobel. They're a pair of snowflakes and nothing will tear them apart. Don't worry our Jack wont hurt Alex and Alex wont hurt him at all"
