FIVE | LIES

I was sitting with Jayden in his room. He invited me to play some video games, so that's what we're doing now.

"You're so bad at this," I smirked as I beat Jayden in our game. He lost four times, while I lost once. "You're just too good." Jayden sighed, putting down his controller. I looked at him when we heard a loud commotion outside.

It wasn't like it was arguing, but more so playing around. I saw Cole being chased by Paxton, who Chase was chasing. "They do this a lot, don't mind anything." Jayden caught my attention with his words.

I couldn't help but drift my mind to the files I read two mornings ago. Most of the boys here are discharged, so why are they still here? "I don't understand..." I mumbled. Jayden scanned my face and frowned at my words. "What are you talking about?" He asked.

As much as I hated asking, I did what I should've done in the first place. "You're discharged. Why are you still here? Why don't you leave." I watched over Jayden's face very carefully. He looked shocked but covered it up with a suspicious frown. He looked away, and it took a second for him to reply.

"I don't know what you're talking about. I haven't been discharged." He mumbled, looking away sadly. I knew he felt bad for lying, but that just enraged me even more. "You lie." I stood up and mumbled. I stormed out of the room and went into mine, slamming the door.

I cracked my door open and yelled at the top of my lungs. "How can I fucking trust you all when you fuckers lie!!!" I slammed the door and went to lock it, but realize there was no lock, so I opened the door and yelled again. "And how am I supposed to have privacy when there's no fucking lock on the door!!"

I laid on my bed and was about to drift to sleep when I hear someone storm in my room. I snapped my head at the direction and saw that it was Liam and Taylor. Taylor walked in front of Liam like he was kind of in the shadows.

"Elias, raising your voice was not necessary. If you need to talk to someone, that is what I'm here for. Of course, I am giving you space. I hope you come to understand." Taylor walked towards me and leant town to my level since I was sitting on my bed.

All these lies and mysteries are getting to me. I hate being kept in the dark. This place is so suffocating that I don't think I can trust anyone here.

As Taylor talked, All the boys gathered outside my door discreetly without me knowing. If I knew, I wouldn't have said what I said next.

"I hate it here. I want to leave. I regret coming here. All the boys here have been so tiptoey, and I barely even know them, and I've been here almost a week. I regret it. Regret it!! I should've told my mom no. I want to leave this hell." I spat. It was quiet. So quiet I can hear the clock tock back in forth.

I see Liam frown in the corner of my eyes, and he starts to leave. Wait, Liam... I didn't mean to say that. "Liam. Don't leave. Come here and tell Elias how you feel about his statement." Taylor demanded, a ping of hurt his voice.

I wanted to say I didn't mean it. I didn't mean anything I said. But why won't it come out of me?

Liam hesitated, but walked towards Taylor and I. "I know we haven't talked for real... But I've been trying to get the courage to talk to you. Every time I see you, I know you're hurting, and I just want you to be better. Thats why we're here-"

My eyes widened and I teared up. "- We're here to help you. Not just Taylor... All of us. Because in reality that's all we have. Is each other." Tears came out of his eyes, and his breath was uneven, a Panick attack coming on.

Thats when Cole came into my room and grabbed Liams hand. "It's okay, Liam. Take deep breaths with me."

"I'm sorry..." I whispered, and I guiltily look out my window. Taylor then decided to tell everyone else to get out of my room. So now, it's just me and my thoughts.
