I was sitting at the table with the others in the morning for breakfast. It was weird because, for some reason, I was being stared at more than usual. It might be because I just rolled out of bed. My hair was messy, and my eyes were watery. I wore a black 'wife beater' and black sweatpants with socks. I guess you could say I looked very... weird.Rubbing my eyes with one hand, I ate with the other. The bacon today was perfect, and I ate them first before anything. Surprisingly, it was dead quiet. Typically, during food time, there was chatter.
Did I mention Taylor wasn't here? Yeah, he isn't here.
"So, Elias, what did you do last night?" Paxton, who was sitting beside me, asked. I gulped my food and turned my head towards him. He had this stare that I couldn't quite figure out. Was it pure curiosity, or was it a look of 'you should tell me the truth'? But I don't quite understand why.
"Paxton..." Addison warned, and Paxton looked at him but soon disregarded that the man said anything to begin with. I quirked my eyebrow at that. "What do you mean? I was just in my room sleeping. Or watching shows. I don't quite remember..." I looked down at my lap. Now that he mentions it, what did I do? I remember getting high, but after that, it was quite a blur.
I must've been thinking hard because Chase coughed, resulting in me shooting my head up. "I really don't remember. Why? Did I do something?" I gasped. My heart started racing. What if I did something terrible and don't remember because I was high in the clouds? "You really... don't remember?" Liam sadly and quietly said. I could barely hear him to begin with. "Ah, well, no." I sheepishly laughed.
I must've said something wrong because I saw Liam stand up and dart out of the room. "Liam, wait," Cole said, following him. My eyes followed the two until they were nowhere to be seen. I looked at the others, who were staring intensely at me.
"What? Did I do something?" I asked, resulting in them all shaking their head in disappointment. They all grabbed their plates and walked into the kitchen, mumbling words with each other. Weirdos. Why are they so suspicious all the time?
"The fuck did I do?" I raised my voice, and I turned to see Addison smirk. What a fucking weirdo!!
I grabbed my plate and walked to the kitchen where the others were. I dumped the dish into the sink and walked towards the stairway, ignoring their existence.
As I walked into my room, I saw Taylor holding my cart, a bag of my weed, and a bottle of pink Whitney that was hidden in my room. Why the fuck did he look through my shit? "Taylor, why in the fuck are you holding my things. Give them back!" I grabbed toward them, but he grabbed my hand lightly but firmly.
"I forgot to mention. Drugs and alcohol usage are a huge NO here. I should've looked through your belongings in the first place, but I overestimated you. I'm quite disappointed." Taylor voiced, putting all the things into a black bag.
"I don't give a rat's ass if you're disappointed. I don't know you to care. Are there any dumb rules I should even fucking know about?" I hissed, resulting in Taylors' gaze to change in a second. He was looking at me like I was about to be sorry about what I said.
"Actually, yes."
Taylor told me the rules, and I about fell asleep listening to them.
