Sora

It's dawn when we leave the bunker. I know not from the colour of the sky but from my father's watch that's tied around my wrist. I imagine a beautiful sunrise outside, in my head — the sun breaching the horizon. The sky varies in colours of peach, blue, and purple — the trees and mountains against the morning alpenglow.

We follow the sewage system into Five. It smells of defecation and urine. There are many rats. We have torches, but we're blinded by blackness. Ted leads the way with a map. We reach an area where the sewer splits off into two different directions. We have split ourselves up into two groups. Group A and B. Group A will set off an explosion to divert the wolves. When the wolves have dispatched, Group B attacks at the square and takes out Akuma.

"Be careful," I say to Kei and Izumi. They are going with Group A to divert the wolves with the explosion. They'll meet back with us once the explosions have detonated.

"We will," Izumi says. I see that they're holding hands.

"Be careful yourself," Izumi says.

"Get Matsu back." Kei smiles. We hug each other goodbye and go our separate ways.
