After a while of walking, the duo finally arrives at a big gate just as the sun starts setting. {Name} is in complete awe at the pattern of the large wall.

Wilbur looks over at {Name} and smiles in amusement. "You haven't seen anything yet {Name}." He takes their hand again and leads them into L'amanburg.

Wilbur was correct, {Name} really hadn't seen anything yet. The inside of L'amanburg was beautiful! Everything from the lights to the plants was mesmerizing! The young adult smiled softly at what they saw. When Wilbur saw this, he felt proud that he was able to impress {Name}.

"Since the sun is setting, let's head inside. I'll introduce everyone to you tomorrow." Wilbur said. {Name} nodded and was led by Wilbur to his home. When they arrived, Wilbur took them on a short tour of the house.

At the end of the tour, {Name} spotted a particular set of 'photographs'.

They stopped in their tracks and stared at the beautiful woman and baby in the paintings.

This almost immediately caught Wilbur's attention, as he was paying close attention to {Name}'s footsteps. When he saw what they were looking at, he also froze.

"Is this you're wife and child?" {Name} asked, resisting the urge to coo at the baby. They noticed Wilbur's head hung low and immediately felt bad for asking. "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to pry-" {Name} started but Wilbur interrupted them.

"No, it's fine. That...was my wife...Sally...she was the absolute love of my life...but...she unfortunately passed shortly after giving birth to our daughter Floris..." Wilbur stated sadly.

{Name} wondered if it was due to complications during childbirth but didn't want to make him feel worse by asking. However, luckily for them, Wilbur seemed to read their mind.

"I wouldn't really call it 'complications due to childbirth', it was all my fault, honestly. I really wanted kids but had forgotten that female salmon die shortly after laying their eggs due to exhaustion...this of course would be the same for Sally as she was a shapeshifting salmon..." he trailed off.

{Name} felt a wave of sympathy wash over them as they watched Wilbur sorrowfully explain the story behind his late wife. "Where's her grave? I would like to pay my respects to her. I'm sure she was a wonderful woman." They say sympathetically.

Wilbur seemed to tense up at their words and seemed very uncomfortable. "Uh...she...doesn't have a grave...because I...um..." he trailed off again, becoming increasingly more uncomfortable by the second.

{Name} was confused. "Because...you what? It's ok, I promise I won't judge. Even if you ate her." They assured him. Then they noticed that he tended up even more at the last sentence. "Oh...I...see..." {Name} trailed off.

"I didn't know how to handle my grief! I still don't know how to! I just didn't want to let her go!" Wilbur exclaimed, fearing that {Name} would hate him.

"Hey! Hey! It's ok! We all process grief in different ways! It's ok! I'm sure I process grief in an odd way!" {Name} assured Wilbur, making him feel much better.

"It's ok Wil, I promise. Now, let's go to bed shall we?" Name said. Wilbur nodded, blushing slightly at the nickname-even though quite a few people call him that. It's just felt special coming from {Name}.

He led {Name} into the guest bedroom. Then, with a sudden burst of confidence, kissed them on the forehead, and said goodnight, quickly shutting the door. It's safe to say that they both went to sleep slightly flustered and happy.
