Every year the Hashira would have a nice dinner and gift presents to each other on Christmas eve. This year was no different. The day before Christmas eve Sanemi and Giyuu began preparing some food to bring over. Giyuu was chopping some vegetables while Sanemi was searching for the soup broth and some meat. "Yuu, do you know where I put it?" "I think its in the drawer to your left." Sanemi found it a couple seconds later. "Thanks Yuu." "No problem." Giyuu looked at Sanemi and smiled. Sanemi loved Giyuu's smile and couldn't help but kiss him. "What was that for?" Giyuu asked staring at Sanemi in confusion. "Nuthin'." Sanemi said as he walked over to the stove. Giyuu shrugged it off and went back to chopping vegetables. A few hours later and the soup was ready, Sanemi put a cover over the pot and stuck it in the fridge.(idk if they had fridges in that time but who cares this is fanFICTION 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️) Sanemi looked outside and realized it was pretty late. "Hey Yuu, lets head to bed what do you say?" Giyuu yawned and nodded his head. They both went upstairs and Giyuu flopped on the bed. Sanemi sat on the edge and took put a small bottle from his dresser. He poured out some of the liquid onto his hands and started rubbing them together, a few seconds later her put some on his face and then put the bottle away. He lay down next to Giyuu and grabbed his waist to pull him close. "I don't get why you have to use lotion." Giyuu intertwined his legs in Sanemi's. "To make my skin smother and so I don't get cancer from the sun." Sanemi replied. "Whatever you say." Giyuu said before falling asleep. Shortly after, Sanemi fell asleep as well.

-the next day aka Christmas eve-

Giyuu awoke in the late evening to the sound of clothes rustling. He slowly opened his eyes to see Sanemi sifting through Giyuu's clothes. "Nemi, what are you doing?" Giyuu inquired. "Looking for a nice outfit for the meet up, ah here is one." Giyuu sat up and got out of bed, not paying any mind to what Sanemi picked out and instead headed straight to the bathroom. After Giyuu took care of business he was met with Sanemi holding up clothes and telling him to change. After that Sanemi and Giyuu went downstairs and heated up the stove in order to reheat the soup they made yesterday. A while later (its 4 am, Im sick and im rushing to write this give me a break🫤) they were finally headed out with presents in hand and started walking over to the butterfly mansion. When they arrived Aoi answered the door and greeted them in, leading them to the room the rest of the hashira were in. To Sanemi's disbelief, he and Giyuu were the last ones there. Sanemi placed the soup on the table and went to go mingle, Giyuu following close behind. "Ara ara~ you two finally arrived! I was sure that you two wouldn't make it, we almost started eating without you guys you know." Shinobu said as she chuckled lightly. Sanemi rolled his eyes. "So does this mean we are eating now?" Giyuu asked curiously. "YES!" Rengoku said in his loud voice. Everyone gathered around the table and began to uncover all the food. Sanemi pulled Giyuu down, into his lap and began getting his and Giyuu's food. Mitsuri fed some food to Obanai as he blushed and shinobu practically begged Mitsuri to feed her as well. The table was lively as everyone enjoyed the food and each other's company. An hour had passed and almost all the food was gone, just then Shinobu stood up and announced that it was present time. Giyuu got up and grabed the bag of present that he and Sanemi had brought. He got back to Sanemi and Sanemi immediately pulled Giyuu back onto his lap. Giyuu sighed, knowing that he would probably stay there until they left or he had to go to the bathroom. Mitsuri walked up to them and handed Giyuu and Sanemi a present. "Go on! Open them, I wanna see yiur reactions!" Mitsuri urged. Giyuu opened his and saw that it was a crochet doll of Sanemi. Giyuu giggle a little bit and looked at Mitsuri. "Did you make this?" He said pointing at the doll. "Yup! Now Sanemi open yours!" Sanemi tore his open and saw a crochet plush of Giyuu. Sanemi chuckled and thanked Mitsuri. "Hey wait! I got an idea! Yuu, give me mini Sanemi." Sanemi said. Giyuu looked at him and gave him the plushy. Sanemi pushed the plushies faces together and made kissing noises. Mitsuri giggles as Giyuu covered his face.
(Ok so like I have iceskating in 2 hours so im keeping this short and saying that they got all the gifts from other ppl and gave gifts and now they just have to give gifts to each other 🥰🥰)
Sanemi grabbed a long thin present and handed it to Giyuu. Giyuu opened it to see a scarf. "Awww, did you get me a new one because I gave mine to that kid? Thanks Nemi." Giyuu gave Sanemi a kiss on the cheek and took out his gift to Sanemi. It was a little box that looked like it would hold a ring. Sanemi opened it to see two gold rings. Sanemi looked at Giyuu in shock. "Is this a proposal?" Sanemi asked looking between Giyuu and the rings. "Not yet. I thought it might be nice to have matching rings and so no women hit on you." Giyuu giggles as he said that last part. Sanemi carefully took the rings out of the box and put it on both of their ring fingers. Sanemi kissed Giyuu and hugged him tight. "This truly is, the best Christmas ever."
