Lexis felt a tingling sensation on his neck and he didn't need a rocket science to tell him what was going on but he wasn't in the mood after the big fiasco that occured in the afternoon.
"Douglas, please stop am not in the mood."
The said man whined a bit before continuing his actions and ignoring the words of his husband so Lexis pushed him away which led to Douglas falling down harshly.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?"A very angry Douglas questioned Lexis who took a deep breath and calmingly looked at his spouse who he had been with for a decade, wondering how they became like this.
"Am sorry for pushing you harshly but I told you that I was not in the mood."
"What the hell!!"
"When did having an intimate time with my husband become such a crime that you pushed the hell out of me?"
"Can we not do this because am tired of our constant fights and hurting words that we exchange with each other."
"Wow!"
"YOU KNOW I FREAKING HATE YOUR STUPID ATTITUDE.
YOU ARE THE REASON WHY OUR RELATIONSHIP IS LIKE THIS BECAUSE OF YOUR NONCHALANT ATTITUDE.
WHY THE HELL CAN'T YOU BE GOOD AND SUPPORT ME YOUR FREAKING HUSBAND."
Lexis laughed at the man he called his husband words.Each time something bad happened in their relationship it was always his fault and to be honest he was tired,tired of always giving in each time.
Today he wanted peace so he calmingly walked out of the room wanting to hopefully have a better rest in his sister's room until Douglas was sober enough to have a conversation with him without one of them snapping and pointing hands at the other.
"COME BACK HERE LEX,WE AREN'T DONE TALKING STOP BEING A COWARD AND LET TALK."
Where did they go wrong in their marriage for a couple who were envied by their friends and colleagues to grow this bitter.
Somewhere deep down Lexis knew it was the fact that they didn't have a child and that along side the way they lost each other.
Yes they were still the Douglas and Lexis that people knew but there was a barrier in their relationship that both refused to solve because they were too cowardly to uncover the truth that laid beneath.
It sounded confusing but real life is a mystery that many were trying to solve but the more they tried to uncover the truth about life the more confusing it became.
"Hun,what are you doing here?"
"Can I sleep with you tonight."
"Sure!"
"Hope that prick didn't upset you?"
"Josephine can we not do this right now am really tired and need to rest plus I want to wake up early so I could go help Sean with the preparation."
"Okay but it is quite unfortunate that I can't make it to his newest child's naming ceremony because of my photoshoots."
"He will understand so let go to sleep."
"Night night Lex."
"Goodnight to you too J."
