A knock to my door halted my current activity and led me panicking shitlessly.
He immediately gathered all the clothing materials and needles and hid them in the chest and placed it under his bed before taking deep breathe before going to see who was at the door.
"Claire,what do you need?"I addressed the maid who also happens to be his Papa's right hand and caretaker of the house.
"Young Master,the Master request your presence at the living room."I sighed and looked at her departing self.Apart from my Papa,the other person that has played a key role in my life is Claire and for that I will forever be grateful for her nurturing especially during the time when Papa was in a depression because of Dad's death.
I looked at my room one more time to make sure that everything is in place to avoid my secret being out then paced to the living room to find my Papa who apparently was having a chat with that snake of a cousin and the humour that was in the living room made my heart sting a bit because no matter the love Papa has for me,my cousin Miguel would also be an ideal son in his eyes.
I felt a pair of eyes on me and I looked at the direction to see Claire giving me a gentle smile before excusing herself to the kitchen.
Papa and Miguel noticed my presence and stop their conversation and I don't know if it was my illusion but I saw the smile on Papa's face falter a bit.
"Oh cuz!"Miguel with his lousy lotus act called out to me.
I sat opposite my Papa and Miguel since both of them where sitting together.
"Why did you call me here Papa?"I asked in a bit of a monotone that came off cold.
"This boy, can't you talk softly like Mimi here anyways I called you here because Mimi here wanted to come learn a bit in the company and so I thought it was wise for me to ask if you could assist Mimi once he comes to work in the company."I looked at Papa in disbelief but masked it well not wanting that bitch beside him to have more thrill than it is.
"Why don't you let Uncle help you since he also works in the company, dearest cousin?"Miguel gave my Papa the puppy eyes that looked awfully disgusting.
"Uncle Jim,I told you that it wasn't a good idea since Cornelius won't agree and cuz I am sorry I wanted to get closer to you so that we could get to know each other but I can see it was a bad idea."Miguel started sobbing and bid Papa farewell before leaving not answering to Papa's calls but I very well saw the smirk he sent my way.
"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?WHY MUST YOU BE SELFISH,COUNTLESS TIMES MIGUEL HAS TRIED GETTING CLOSE TO YOU BUT YOUR BITTER SELF CAN'T HANDLE TO BE CLOSE TO THAT SWEET BOY AND HE WOULD COME WORK IN THE COMPANY AND YOU BETTER ASSIST HIM WHEN HE COMES TO WORK AND IF I HEAR THAT YOU ARE TREATING HIM BADLY LIKE HOW YOU EMBARRASSED HIM AT THE RESTAURANT WITH HIS FRIENDS LIKE THAT AGAIN THEN I WILL TAKE BACK THE REINS OF CEO FROM YOU BECAUSE I AM STILL THE CHAIRMAN OF THE COMPANY.HAVE I MADE MYSELF CLEAR?"I have never seen my Papa snap like this and the ironic part is that he snapped at me for a white lotus like Miguel now I don't know who among us is his son.
"You have made yourself clear Mr Jim Hamilton."I said then left to my room leaving a stunned papa in the living room and apparently my boss.
Clearly he has chosen the side he wanted to be on.
