4 ~ Ms. Gorgeous

"Na Jaemin!" Winter sighed after the spicy bite of tteokbokki. "That bastard really likes games huh.." Her head started connecting that he had purposely hid the fact, that Jeno's favourite restaurant was actually owned by his mother, from her.

And as if she had summoned the devil, he walks in through the crowded door. He doesn't spare a glance towards the customers and heads directly to the counter. "Busy day!" He grins.

"Oh Jaemin! Thank God you are here. Take the apron and start serving." Jeno's mom instructed him.

"Yes ma'am!" He displays a pleasant smile as he gets to work. "Let me take over this, you go back to the kitchen." He took the tray from Jeno.

Jeno leaned against the counter patiently waiting the moment Jaemin notices Karina. He was the one who called Jaemin under the pretext of too-many-customers-need-help. But in reality he just wanted to see him panic and earn a laugh out of it.

"Oh wait a minute..." Jaemin says rather loudly before stopping in his steps. The order he carried was for the table right in front of Karina's and he had just passed by Karina's.

Now standing in the middle of the two tables, he knew he needed to double-take so he turns back to take a quick glance and a smile pops on his face disregarding the fierce look Winter was giving him.

He proceeds with the serving before coming back to them.

"What a blessed day!" Jaemin exclaims before sitting himself next to Winter who welcomed him with a smack on his arm.

He leaned in to whisper at Winter and then turn back his attention to Karina who sat diagonally from him.

"I see you've barely touched your food. You should start with the kimbaps, they are to die for." He casually points at the rolls of rice wrapped in seaweed.

"Is that so?" Karina raises her eyebrows, a soft smile creeping its way to her lips. "Let's gauge how trustworthy you are." She was used to this kind of approaches and she would often humor them if they were harmless.

"So? Trustworthy or not?" Jaemin was waiting for a reply from Karina when he felt someone patting his head.

The pat lasted momentarily when his ear was suddenly twisted by the very hand that had just patted him. "Let the girls eat in peace, there's alot to do." Jeno's mother scolded him.

"Ouch! OK ok. I get it. Now please stop." He held her hand begging for mercy. That was all it took to make his expression go from a bad boy to an obedient boy in seconds.

"Sorry about that girls. That kid can go overboard sometimes." She explained with a smile. "How do you like the food so far?"

"It's amazing." Karina smiled broadly. "Especially the kimbap."

"That's a relief. Is this the friend you said really liked our tteokbokki?" The lady pointed at Winter asking Karina.

Karina started coughing unprovokedly as she recalled the conversation she had on the phone when requesting for a reservation. She had explained how she desperately needed to impress a friend who was very fond of that restaurant.

"Oh ah. Right it's her." Karina giggled, hoping the lady would say nothing more.

"Due to my generation, I might have been expecting something different but you guys look cute together." Jeno's mom complimented naively all while her son watched from the counter.

Winter was now the one coughing. She sent a questioning glare towards Karina.

"Ah it's not like that." She blushed making the Aunty even more certain of her guess.

"Haha. You guys, enjoy your meal!"

The four of them, Winter, Jeno, Karina and Jaemin respectively sat on the short but wide stairs outside the restaurant catching some fresh air after the exhausting work.

"How did we end up agreeing to this again?" Karina asked panting. "This is the first time I've ever done actual part time job."

"Ms. Gorgeous, how was your first time working at a restaurant?" Jaemin turned to Karina.

"Hmm... tiring but fun... Mr.Notsotrustworthy." Her nose scrunched and a smile followed. 

"Na Jaemin, I am never betting with you again." Winter cracked her knuckles.

It all started when Jaemin challenged the girls that they wouldn't be able to finish the food placed in front of them. The two girls, despite their small, well maintained, figures, were in fact big foodies. They believed they ate well and this two bowls of tteokbokki and other side dishes would not be a big deal.

But oh were they wrong. They should have known when Jaemin made that bet there was something that spawn of a devil was hiding. 

The bowls looked as if it filled only the top part but in actuality it was deeper which meant the potion was larger than it looked. Another reason why the restaurant was popular.

They tried. They tried their best until they couldn't anymore and as a winner of the challenge Jaemin got to save money and ended up handing them aprons.

"LOL, sour loser." He bent over just so he could stick his tongue out and tease Winter.

"That's enough of fresh air. Let's get these aprons back and go home." Karina suggested.

The others agreed. It was past 10pm after all.

"You guys are back." Jeno's mom was holding a few envelopes when they came back. "Here. This is your wages for the day."

She handed each one of them one including her son. "Thank you for the help girls! I didn't know you guys were close with these two." She patted their hair.

"Feel free to come anytime you crave for tteokbokki, okay?"

It was like Jeno's mother had two sides. She was yelling, commanding people and scolding when working but otherwise she was kind and caring. Her extroverted and expressive nature made Karina wonder how Jeno came out of a woman like that.

One thing she felt however working that day was that she might have gotten a bit, just slightly close to Jeno. She made so many mistakes but he was tolerant with her despite being so busy and then there was Jaemin who kept her entertained the whole time either by constantly flirting with her or bickering with Winter over the littlest of things just to get reactions from her. It was one of Karina's habit to tease Winter but seeing someone else do it was just as funny.

"Drop the girls off, I will be closing the restaurant." Jeno's mother motioned for them to leave.

Now all of them stood outside the restaurant, deciding who drops off who since both Winter and Karina lived far from each other.

While everyone was standing awkwardly, Jaemin and Karina had mentally decided who they wanted to go with but only one of them could have their wish come true.

This is the perfect chance to get to know her....
