HIROGERU (Season 2)

Episode 17 - Escape From Treyah

Fran and Yue ran towards the hallway. The latter had already disposed of her heels for she knew that it would slow her down. The alarm had already began to sound off as a siren and warning speeches had already been heard inside the whole of Treyah.

"Darn it, the guards were already alerted." Yue shouted as they continued to run.

The two women were about to turn right when they were ambushed by a unit of Treyah soldiers. The unit had a tamed Behemoth with them as part of their attack unit.

"Why the fuck do they authorize the use of monsters to Tuteurs?!" Fran shouted as she blasted them with lightning magic.

"The beast-keeper units." Yue replied as she conjured light energy and blasted them with photon light lasers. She conjured fires next as she lit fire pillars around the two of them. "They are one of the Special-Op units of Treyah. You know, they deal with a lot of dirty work." She added as the flames had disappeared and seared the pathways and it cleared an alternative one to them.

Yue and Fran ran towards the direction of where the Academy Quadrangle was.

"Melfice is probably there." Fran said to her.

"He's here too?" she asked in response.

"He was the one who piloted the airship from where your boyfriend jumped from. It was part of the plan after all!" Fran said with a smirk on her face.

The two of them now made found themselves in the vicinity of the Academy Quad and right on point, they saw the airship flying above. It was quite a distance though for they could not reach it.

Right on cue however, multiple Treyah soldiers had surrounded them in the middle of the Quad and immediately on the defensive, Fran and Yue conjured their respective spirit energies to garner some distance between their foes.

"Surrounded." The azure-haired girl said. She readied her fire magic on one hand and her ice magic on the other.

Fran lit her gauntlets with blue lightning this time and the bolts she conjured bounced off quite a distance to harass their attackers.

"Lay down your arms." A commander of the soldiers said to the two women and with his command, the weapons of the surrounding soldiers were readied for combat.

"Shut up! We're not the bad guys!" Fran shouted. "It's that darkness Drake guy you should be after!" she added.

"You were in cahoots with the other Rogue as well." He replied to them. "That falls under treason under the disciplinary code of conduct." He added.

"Screw your code of conduct!" Yue shouted at them as she raged her flames against them.

The fires caused them to back away from the two women as the flames began to change color. They were golden flames now as opposed to the regular bright orange flames that Yue conjures.

Melfice flew the airship and saw that it was Yue and Fran below them.

"We need to get them up here." He said to Lei.

"What do you need me to do?" she asked in response.

"The rope ladder is mounted on the side of the ship. You need to jump down along with it to have them access it and climb up here." He replied to her.

Lei stood up with a look of determination on her face.

"Got it." She said as she ran towards the area where the ladder was mounted.

The gunslinger-girl took hold of the ladder and Melfice now spoke through the speakers.

"Ready Lei?" he asked her.

"All right." Lei responded with serious intent.

The door to her right opened and the wind pressure from outside came gushing in towards her. She held her arm over her eyes to shield herself from the wind as she conjured some wind as well to her side.

The rope ladder she clung on to was going to be key if she was to save her two allies below.

Without hesitation, Lei jumped from the ship. She was now in mid-air and the gunslinger girl made her way towards the two Treyah soldiers that were cornered.

"All right, let's do this!" she shouted.

Yue and Fran were keeping their enemies at bay with their respective spirit energies. The soldiers surrounding them were held back a little from the strength of the two high class soldiers. But then, the special ops beast keeper units now came to thwart them.

Two large grey Behemoths with golden maines on their head appeared with the beast-keeper units and without hesitation, the pair of monsters rushed towards them whilst charging light spirit energy on their horns.

"Not good!" Yue said. In response to the light, she utilized her darkness energy instead and began to conjure a gravity strike.

"Damn beast-keeper assholes!" Fran shouted as she clasped her hands together and red lightning from Susanoo had emerged in the skies around them.

The Behemoths were beginning to close the gap between them and the two female soldiers when a rain of bullets had shot them and appeared to stop their trampling rage.

"Huh?!" Fran said as she looked where the bullets came from.

"What's going on?" Yue asked while she conjured darkness around her.

Lei landed on the ground right in the middle of them whilst she held the rope ladder with one hand and her revolver handgun with the other. She aimed her weapon against Yue and Fran's adversaries.

"No time to chit chat, c'mon!" she shouted at them, gesturing them to climb up the ladder into the airship.

The gunslinger girl continued to fire her bullets at them as wind energy raged around her pistol.

"Thousand Tracers!" she shouted as a series of wind bullets came firing from her gun. The barrage was a distraction that kept the surrounding soldiers occupied, giving Yue and Fran enough time to climb up the ladder which led to the airship.

"Don't let them get away!" a Treyah commando said as he jumped up high and activated the jetpack that he wore.

"Darn it!" Fran said. She blasted the incoming chasers with her red lightning. "Red sword lightning!" she shouted as blades of electricity came from the red rays that she summoned.

Yue made her way up to the airship and the three of them felt that the ladder was being pulled upward.

The jetpack-equipped commandos continued to chase them upward but fortunately enough the three of them had made it inside the airship before they could even be apprehended by the flying soldiers.

"Finally!" Fran gave a sigh.

"It ain't over yet." Lei said as she spun her revolvers and holstered them.

"We have to get Seiryu and the others!" Yue said as she ran towards the pilot seat.

Lei looked at her as she saw Yue making her way to the cockpit. "You've got a lucky girl, red eyes." She thought to herself as she smiled and ran after her.

"Melfice!" Yue shouted as she sat beside the pilot. "We have to-" she tried to say.

"I know. Seiryu and the others are still down there." Melfice said as he piloted the airship. "We're going to get them don't worry." He assured her and smirked afterwards.

"All right, let's do this!" he shouted and he maneuvered the airship back to where the chapel was at.

Will the escape be successful?
