"Takeru, watch your breath!" Amaya called out to her son, who possessed his father's talent. Since he was born, Indra had never called or sent a message. Amaya had already resigned herself to the fact that she would never see him again.
Ashura had developed into a good leader over the last five years. His calm manner had infected everyone in the village. However, many people had set their eyes on him, which was why the wars had increased. Ashura had always tried everything to keep the peace, but he had not always succeeded.
As best he could, he stayed away from these wars and helped those who needed help. However, he always sent his best fighters to the villages to help the people who could not defend themselves. This included Amaya, who wanted to protect her son. But this always came at a price.
She was so angry with these warriors, these bandits, that she had used her Mangekyou Sharingan and given away something that was important to every human being. Her eyesight.
Amaya could barely see with her dark eyes, which is why she usually kept her Sharingan permanently activated. That way she could at least see her son's smile when he had mastered a jutsu. On the whole, Takeru was a sweet and friendly boy. Amaya had actually done everything she could to put him on the right path. When she thought about it, he was just like Indra in his childhood days. Only she hoped that Takeru wouldn't follow the same path as his father.
Indra, the man who missed Amaya every day. The man she still loved. She thought of him every day and hoped to be able to see him again someday. To be able to tell him that he had a son who wanted to get to know him. Yes, Amaya had told Takeru who his father was and what he was like. However, she could never tell him when he would return.
"Amaya! Bandits have invaded our village!" shouted a resident who ran towards her and the Uchiha stood up from the veranda. "Where is Ashura?" she asked immediately. "He's in the neighboring village with a few other warriors." he breathed quickly, so she had no choice but to protect her home.
She would never allow the bandits to burn down her home again, to kill the people. Her eyes looked towards the forest where she could already see some shadows running towards her.
"Takeru, stay in the manor." Amaya said to her son, who was clinging to her leg. "But...mother..." "Do as I say. I will take care of her." she spoke a little more calmly, kneeling down to her son to take his head in her hands before leaving a kiss on his forehead. "I'll be back soon." she promised him, stood up and left the porch to meet the bandits.
On the way to them, her Mangekyou Sharingan activated by itself, so she didn't hesitate for a second to attack the bandits. What she didn't know at that moment was that she had lost her control for fear of losing her son.
